Waterfall/Gravity Bowl to Regular Bong conversion

  1. [IMG]So I had been thinking for a while of a safe way to make a homemade bong that could utilize the standard waterfall/gravity cap bowl. The issue I was having was coming up with a safe/convenient way to attach a downstem to the bowl (the socket). I am being very cautious about this, because I'm not sure what materials/sealants are safe to be exposed to the heat of both the lighter and the actual socket after it starts to get hot. Anyways, here's what I came up with to avoid that whole dilemma all together.

Basically, the first, bottom bottle just serves as a way to connect the socket/bowl/cap to the straw that servers as the downstem. I filled the bottom bottle up so that the water level is just above the straw. The thin layer of water prevents the heat from the bowl from melting the straw (a problem I had in earlier prototypes) The straw (which is only about 2 inches long) goes from the top of the bottom bottle into the bottom of the top bottle. I sealed the holes with some chewing gum. As of right now it's pretty water/air tight, but I'm sure as time goes by, the gum will start to degrade, so if anyone has any suggestions for a better way to seal, I'd love to hear them. I finished it off with just some packing tape to help keep the bottles pressed together, and alleviate some of the pressure from the gum.

Anyway, this is my first post, but I came up with this after not being able to find any solutions online, and wanted to share. If anyone has any comments/suggestions, I'd love to know.

  2. If you want to use the straight down kind of action a gravity bong has just take a bottle, make a small hole towards the top, stick some sort of tubing out (that's your mouth piece. Stick hard plastic piece into the bowl stem until snugly fit, place inside bottle and you have your gravity bong.. Bong. Haha, also as for good water sealant I used to use ear plugs meant for swimmers, they are sticky like gum but won't be affected by water. Cheers

-Your point is as pointless as describing colors to a blind man.-

  3. Just use the normal gravity bong cap/bowl and get a plastic bottle with no holes fill it about half way and squeeze it to the top then screw the top on light and unsqueeze the bottle and you have a portable gravity bong

So we burn the mary jane til' the third degree

  4. You wont be able to suck the smoke out though.

  5. yes you can I use it every day, you kind of put your lips on it like a normal gb then leave a tiny gap so there is room for air to pull through, or you could just squeeze the bottle with your lips on it like a normal gb and stop when the water reaches the top
