  1. I've been lurking these forums for months, carefully planning my first outdoor grow. Here is what I have so far!

please feel free to comment on how I could improve

  3. the buds are starting to frost up and become very sticky. The smell is earthey but has a potent lemon hint. No clue on the genetics, all that I know is that the seeds took me years to collect from the most chronic buds.

  4. Decided it was time for round two of germination, with 8 more bag seeds getting germinated using the ziploc bag method ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1427677671.503158.jpg

  5. toying with the idea of adding a compost bin to the side yard of my abode. Was wondering what the pros of having it would be and how I could effectively set one up
does anyone have advice on how to build a simple compost bin?
my current plan was to put my compost pile (which is pulled weeds and some rotten fruits) allready full of worms and stuff into a Rubbermaid plastic container with holes in the bottom for proper drainage.
my only question is what do I do with the compost? do I take out the dirt and add it to the bottom of my ladie's holes? or simply only use the composted dirt?
I have many questions and someone's advice would be greatly appreciated
    thanks!!

  6. decided to make my own compost bin. Drilled 1/2 inch holes all over the bottom to allow run off and worms to travel from the ground to the bin.
also drilled holes near the top to allow for ventilation. On the cover i decided to put holes only over half, not sure why, I just feel like that would allow rain to come in but not too much.
Anyways here are some pics, feel free to comment on how the build went and keep toking!! 7. Are you in fl? If so u may have planted to early it looks like your plant started flowering. It shouldent start that for a few more months

  8. yea I planted way to early, but I'll at least have some bud before my other plants finish!
here's some updated pics of the lady from this evening ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1427854099.591643.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1427854117.188473.jpg

  9. My plants lower node leafs seem to be yellowing slighty, it's only been flowering a month is it just the natural process or is there some deficiency? ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1427854319.412836.jpg

  10. yes the plants will yellow when flowering. if you leave your plant outside it will go back to vegetative growth. but it has a high chance of going hermie.

  11. so should I cut it now because the buds seem to be swelling somewhat. I was gonna let it go another month or two to let them develop then chop it.
I planted it early because I figured I would at least get some bud before I planted most of my seeds

  16. Outside spring grows can go till the end of May usually.. Leave your existing half flowered plants alone to finish.. Container any seeds planted now for summer and keep them under at least 16 hours of light.. Put out about June 1st as early plantings all to often wind up pre-flowered and screwed up..
If your in a fully frost and freeze free zone you can flower outside most any time of year getting in as many as 4 crops in the same spots or planters in the yard you just have to understand how the photo period plants work and use it to your advantage..

  17. also where do they sell those bodiva 62% humidity packs? I'd like to get my hands on some of those when im curing this bud since it's pretty humid in the groves

  18. The Boveda web sight charges about 70 bucks for the brick of large 60 gram packs of 62% control packs.. I run 1 large pack in each 1/2 gallon ball jar I use.. A little web shopping can usually find them for less..

Spiders are carnivores.. That are after anything that moves.. Part of the Good Guys.. My yard is full of Iridescent Green Fanged Jumping Spiders and they rock.. Lady Bugs and Praying Mantis are your other Good Guys.. I try and find both for sale in the spring at garden centers and set a few packs out in the yard..

Your biggest threats outside are going to be Caterpillars first off.. Also called Bud Worms they will decimate your outside grow about the time it's ready to harvest.. I'll post my IPM and you can question me on anything you don't understand..

Since it's that time of year I've been fine tuning this bit of text I paste where and when needed.. Got tired of typing it out time after time..
Let me know if it needs corrected or added to.. any constructive criticism is welcome..

    Spray BT on Monday..
    Green Cure on Tuesday
Neem on Wednesday.. Only in veg
    Spinosad Thursday
