  1. Looking just fine.. It's always a great feeling watching the buds mature.. I've got 4 more to take down in the next couple of days to finish the fall run..

  2. Thanks BNW! Hopefully these come out nice and dense, we'll see! youre harvests so far look simply amazing, and all of the processing of it to hash caps is pretty interesting. I might have to give it a go myself!

  3. here is a pic of the main cola a day or so ago, ill update soon

smell is incredible, super lemony and almost smells like butt. Very stinky to say the least. Also everytime i brush the sugar leaves my hands are left very resinous and stinky. Hmm sounds good to me!

  4. I had to hold off putting out my winter plants as the neighbors pulled the HVAC unit off the roof with a crane and several guys.. Hopefully that is all over and done with and I can start setting out tomorrow or the next day.. I didn't need a bunch of witnesses to my activities.. Legal it may be but the fewer that know the better and I really wasn't in that big a hurry to set out..

  5. so getting close to the chop date and these buds really are swelling up and they reeeeek as soon as i go out back my nose is hit with this lemony gas/butt smell that is absolutely
anyways as i approach the chop date my plant seems to be not doing so well, why are the tips of the sugar leaves turning brownish
im thinking it could be a Magnesium deficiency ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449584222.645019.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449584236.407966.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449584267.112095.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449584279.446352.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1449584288.831450.jpg

basically what ive done is take a 2x2x2.5 box and poked coat hangers threw the box as it stands vertically parting towards me. They are staggered so i could fit in two racks, each rack holds three branches and what ive

done is close the box save for maybe a 1/4 inch and before i leave to go snow boarding imma open it to a 1/2 inch depending how the buds have dried, then ill be back a few days later to see if theyre ready for jars

to see how they are doin
and with the trim and a few popcorn nugs,
i have put them in a paper bag with a ripped up paper bag and i shaked that around rolled up the top and stuck it in the box wit the buds
    comment if this sounds insufficient

Dry and cure is so very dependent on temps and local humidity.. Just way to many possible variables.. I've got my own style that works well in the super dry desert southwest but isn't worth a dam in a more humid zone..

Another take on the same general idea.. Try and stop in the mid 60s humidity as that is the cure range.. A Boveda 62% humidity pack in each mason jars will insure a great cure..

  10. thanks bnw, i drew that same conclusion, so experimentation is the only way! ill keep all you blades in the loop on how the buds are doin.
Also got some purple haze bagseeds! dropped one the other day and another dank bagseed, they are goin strong with their first set of leaves growing right now... will post pics later

  11. Just searching the word "cure" in my thread will pull up much of what I've posted on the subject over the past couple of years.. I screwed up plant after plant and harvest after harvest before I finally got a handle on why all my weed smelled so good at harvest but stunk like a trash can full of wet mowed lawn clipping after 2 weeks..
Slowing down the dry was key in getting my situation under control and once that was worked out the rest of the cure followed suit..
Drying weed is like cooking meat.. You only get one shot at it.. Well done is just that and nothing will fix it..
Your after Medium Rare and it helps to know what your doing or you'll have a big dish of shoe leather if you get my drift..
65ish% humidity of your dried weed is the target.. Then jar with a 62% Boveda humidity pack and it'll store and cure with no real limit.... Growing it is only 2/3rds of the process and it took me almost as long to learn the last third as it did the first part..

BNW, heres what im working with
i really should have bought a hygrometer but im going out of town tomorrow at 4 am so this jiggy rigged set up is the best i could do

  13. You don't get a lot of low humidity anyhow if I remember..
As long as the general humidity is in the 60s or higher your fine to just leave it hang.. It's just when it drops real low that it'll raise hell with your dry..
    Happy Holly Daze

  15. so here are my new ladies, after coming home late last night from a transcontinental flight i found them in desperate need of a watering and like the rookie i am i over watered alittle. All is well though, as they seem to be handling it well!
first up the purple haze bagseed ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1451495844.115777.jpg
and last but not least my mystery bagseed
calling this one Jimmy Nuetron or JN ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1451495894.336664.jpg

lemme know how you think they look!
Also will post pics of my latest harvest. Got it all jarred up earlier and the final weight came to a disappointing 12.56 but its all ok in my book! The buds dried a little more than i would have liked but they seem to be fine...
I have also sampled one of the popcorn buds and its definently got a little kick to it! Maybe not the most potent but growing this organic ganja for little or no cost sure was killer!

  16. as promised some pics of my jar ful o' buds!!! After only an hour in the jar the smell has already increased substantially... ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1451496950.921984.jpg No flash

    whole jar
well my trim job had left alot to be desired, overall im very pleased with how this grow has gone! Very excited to call this the end of my first run and thats exactly what it was a first! Cannot wait to experiment this coming spring in full force, going to be giving a shot at cloning here soon.
My plan is too sex these two seedling i have right now. Then clone the female(s) and then reveg them by april to set them out/ clone them again so i can set out a second round at the end of may/ june
also if one of my seedlings is male i plan to breed that one with a clone in a small scale seed stock project. I would keep them at most in 1 gals. maybe even just throw em in the ground witj alittle chicken manure... Let me if you have any fool proof ways to clone, that would be extremely helpful! Although im pretty sure i already have a sufficient plan.
Anyways OB is out! Peace blades!! ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1451497417.556822.jpg

  17. the bagseed "jimmy nuetron" didnt make it so heres the remaining purple haze
transplanted yesterday into a 1 gal with vermiculite and chicken manure compost. Seemed to like the first batch of soil!! just look at them roots!! ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1451830066.271726.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1451830079.636781.jpg

  18. Took some pics yesterday, its looking alittle hungry so im going to topdress with some homeade rabbit/chicken manure compost later today...

then i bent it over to try and bush it out, heres where i hst'd it ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1453213483.302689.jpg

  19. Sorry for the hiatus blades, things have been busy the last few weeks anyhow here are some pics of the purple haze bag seed, its for sure a female saw multiple preflowers when i last checked ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1454627559.311533.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1454627570.793376.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1454627580.510445.jpg
the only worry for me is where the stem split and its turning brown, certainly doesnt look good
also im about to give cloning a whack, i would like to do it straight into compost perlite 50/50 obviously with some rooting hormone but any advice would be greatly appreciated!
