Beginning A Spiritual Life?

Discussion in 'Fitness, Health & Nutrition' started by Fev123, Mar 23, 2015.

  1. Hello,
I have been thinking deeply lately and figuring out my own beliefs on life and religion, and I have found that I do believe very greatly in the spiritual world and how important it is to keep connected to it. I believe in the ideas that we all have energy within us and we can do different things to "heal" or reconnect these energies - such as meditation and eastern treatments. I have been raised in a SPIRITUALLY DEAD house, and I was wondering if anyone could help me know where to begin my spiritual endeavors.

  4. you will find spirituality much more rewarding if you can relate science and spirituality. What i mean is to prove spirituality. that makes it so much more down to earth....   a perfect example is -   you are entirely made of light, how? your trillions of cells, every cell has an electron spinning around it which is a ball of light. you can dim your light or make brighter as per your consciousness. feel better and feel the light increase and feel bothered/smothered and feel it dim. the more love you feel the brighter your light shines. be a beacon of light and keep your light shining.

Read this book. It appears that you are searching for something and trying to connect. I think that you can do that without accepting anything on insufficient evidence. This is a great book that refers to what you are trying to do.

  6. I feel the same way. It reminds me of that Sagan quote:

\t“It is sometimes said that scientists are unromantic, that their passion to figure out robs the world of beauty and mystery. But is it not stirring to understand how the world actually works - that white light is made of colors, that color is the way we perceive the wavelengths of light, that transparent air reflects light, that in so doing it discriminates among the waves, and that the sky is blue for the same reason that the sunset is red? It does no harm to the romance of the sunset to know a little bit about it.”

  7. Haha, Carl Sagan... For me, questioning/researching(youtube) the religion I followed growing up, led me to question not just my faith, but faith in any religion. Not to say it's not beneficial. I just mean I began looking upon all religions equally and after doing so, found myself holding my own personal beliefs. Not something you can label easily. Maybe that's not helpful lol. I guess I'm just saying it was helpful for me to investigate further into when/where different religions originated.

  8. Start reading a variety of things. Don't think about trying to fit something into a belief system, or even judge the belief system that you are reading about. Just start reading it. Eventually your mind will start to filter, draw connections, etc.  When that happens you will know that you are on your path.

  10. When lots of people are all hyper over something you can bet it's probably bullshit.

  11. Definitely meditation. I also grew up in a spiritually dead house, as my mom is extremely atheist and refuses to believe or hear about anything besides science. Meditating while high can also be very beneficial, but it's a different type of effect I've found out. Instead of trying to clear your mind, try to pick a subject and feel it out. As a person who defines myself as spiritual, I'd say the lifestyle is all about expanding your mind. Pick up some books or read some internet articles about different religions and spiritual practices, maybe look in to divination. Always always always keep an open mind and your spirit can take you many places. Also, if you haven't heard about it yet, I'd look into astral projection. It's a real doozy [IMG]

  12. to speak the unspeakable or know the unknowable, that about explains it- wait, what were we talking about? Ahhh, the silence of knowing is the best silence

Learn about the chemicals that are destroying your mind body and spirit then avoid them, the best diet you can go on to reach your higher self is a vegan organic plant base one. Learn about the consciousness and how ever thing is connected. Smoke dmt. Follow pages on Instagram like @dmtbot it has tons of awaking information.

  17. Spirit Science, Ralph Smart, Eckhart Tolle, Buddhist Teachings are very accurate also so there more spirit based then religion.
Health is also very important to clear the mind/body/spirit so checkout David Wolfe, Dr Axe, Dr Ed Group, Nutritionafacts.org Research Ancient healing methods, Fasting, Pineal gland Detox, Herbs and Medicine.

Meditate, Spend more time in nature, Do Yoga or Tai Chi/Chi gong or Shaolin Eastern Martial Arts which involve energy world like Chi. Get lots of Sunlight, Rays of the Sun do wonders for the mind/body/spirit.

Travel if possible to places of your higher calling, Listen to your gut feelings and body. Be positive, Do good things, Be loving and compassionate, Give without expecting anything in return and the Universe will take care of you :)

and most importantly Smile and make the world wonder why :)

  19. In all honesty we have no REAL clue how the universe got here. It could have been created by god, it could have just came out of nowhere via a big bang or maybe god used the big bang to create the universe, who knows?! But I do know this one thing... When atheists start talking about how foolish religious people are for believing in god, they become no better than religious people who say the same thing about atheists for not believing in god or other religious people who do not believe in the same god. We must all learn to get along and just live and let live. Do not go around killing one another over something as pointless as your beliefs.

  20. I've been exercising and meditating everyday, I think this definitely helps.
