Feeling sick/nausous everytime when smoking weed

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Robmob, Mar 20, 2015.

  1. I sometimes smoke with my mom, she is 50 and never smoked before the times she smoked with me. The thing is every single time she gets extremely stoned by one or two hits, and usually she will feel like if her head was spinning or if she was really drunk. She also complains about feeling really sick. I suppose its just the way she interprets the high, but I wonder if there can anything that can be done, since obviously she doesnt have a good time.
    Thanks

  3. What does her diet consist of? Are there any anxiety habits? I'm only 23 so I can't really say much about the brain chemistry of an older person, but she probably has something going on in her body that should be checked out. That's just my assumption. Weed tends to put you back in touch with the reality of your body, and however your sensations react to the coming on of the high can show you your fears, etc. Maybe she's just going through a slump with her immune system, or just needs some trial and time to get in touch with Mary. Best of luck.

  4. Remember that cannabis has a variety of affects on humans. Some people get nauseated using whilst others use it to repress nausea. With that in mind, I recommend either having a legitimate reason for even using cannabis in the first place or just ceasing using for an extended period.

  5.
Her diet is a decent amount of carbs and protein, but no excess on sugar. She has been smoking tobacco for over 35 years and would regulary drink coffee but she isnt out of shape or in any sort of deficit/excess in anything really. Even her lungs are pretty fine considering how much she smokes.

She doesnt show much anxiety, except for arachnaphobia, but thats not relevant as there are no spiders around when we smoke.

It seems very weird, could it simply be that she isnt made for weed?

And to the person saying she should just get a tolerance, how do you expect to build a tolerance if one toke makes your whole world spin?

  6. That is weird

  7. A healthy balanced diet, and eating BEFORE you smoke may help. But wait at least 15-30 minutes. A drop in blood sugar can cause this issue. I usually won't feel dizzy If I eat before I smoke, don't use this is a medical advice im not a doctor, but it helped me it may help her.
