Baby plant looking sick? Help diagnose?

  1. Okay, this is my first growing. The plant is about three weeks old. All was going perfectly until about 5 days ago, when I noticed she was starting to look really pale and almost cream colored at the tips. The problem has just gotten worse since. She has also completely stopped growing. I know the conditions aren't up to par, but I've done the research. I'm using good, organic, local soil with no additives. The light is 55 watts and 3700 lumen cfl bulb, which is good for my miniature S.O.G (one 1'x1'x16" plant). I water when soil is dry down one inch. I just don't know what's wrong with her. I've attached picture. Please help save her life. Dx ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1425967225.329285.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1425967273.088984.jpg

  2. If that was my seedling, I'd wonder if the soil was too hot.  I know you used organic without additives, but it does look burnt to me.

  3. If that's how far your keeping your light away in that pic then it's not heat and leaves me to believe what joker said and just because it's organic without any additives doesn't mean it has no nutrient value in the soil, either too much nutes or ph is off either way she needs attention or you might lose her. As far as watering goes the 1 inch of dry soil is not dry enough this theory will lead you to over watering or root rot. You saturate the soil with plenty of runoff then you leave her be untill the whole container is almost dry and next time think about adding a lot more perlite for airflow and drainage 30% perlite is a good amount.
