Michganmans Garden of Weeden

  1. Whelp, it's that time of year again that we start planning our outdoor grows and hope to realize our hopes and dreams for a successful harvest. I'm back at it again with high hopes and a new determination.
I've been planning since harvest last October and I'm so stoked to get this season going. I'm going big this year, real big, at least comparatively to anything I've ever attempted before. I've got a new awesome location and a new partner to share the responsibility along the way. We have procured 150 pristine acres with a pond for a water source.
This will be an all organic grow with a home/made soil mix along with top dressing and teas. Our water will be delivered to the plants via poly pipe and drip lines. There are so many different aspects to this grow that still need to be done, such as making cages for the plants, digging holes, running irrigation etc. it's going to be a lot of work, but we are determined and ready and excited for what lies ahead.
Last year I started my journal a little late so this year I'm getting on the ball early so people can see the whole process I use, and also help me along the way. Hopefully we can be of mutual support to each other and this will be a successful venture. With that being said, I promise to keep this journal thoroughly updated even if I somehow have a fuck up and kill all my plants, we can share my heartbreak and defeat, or hopefully share my joy and success.
I'll be running multiple different strains this year mainly all coming from seed. Last year my seed plants really outperformed my clones. So far I have 45 feminized seeds started and a bunch more to go. I plan on roughly doing 100 plants at our location. And maybe 10 more at my house just in case something happens so I have a backup plan.
If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for following and take care and happy growing grass city!

  3. I'm interested in this project.

  4. is that tent 4x4? I'm going to be getting about the same amount of seeds popped in cups in the next few weeks, trying to get an idea on the space required.

What strains you going with this season? I'm at about 43-45 lat but on the north side of the border, what works for you might work for me too! I have a lot of stuff with Guerrilla Gold #3 crossed in so hopefully a lot of early finishing stuff that isnt auto.

  5. umm ya know I'm not exactly sure of the dimensions, I'm borrowing it from a friend at the moment. It's 7 solo cups wide and deep if that helps haha. But yea about 50 cups worth. I've only got like 42 now, 3 fizzled out. These are some og crosses a friend gave me. I plan on getting some clones too and some other feminized seeds at a place near me soon. I've had skywalker kush perform really well at my latitude and some awesome tora bora if you can find it.

  6. Awesome to see people already popping seeds, and getting ready. I feel like 2015 isgoing to be one hell of a grow season for some of us. Mind if I pull up a chair?

Also tell me a little bit about that Skywalker! I assume you are talking about Reserva Privada's selection? How was she about mold resistance? How about harvesting time? Always looking for a good OG cross, but I have issues running strains until mid October here. If she finishes early enough I may just have to give her a whirl!
    Happy Spring Michganman!

  7. welcome, come on in brotha. I'm not sure of the creator of that skywalker as I picked up the cuts from our local compassion club here and didn't investigate fully before purchasing. I did 12 of those that year and they performed awesome for me. Done by October 1st with rock hard buds. I don't remember them molding at all. I highly recommend it.

  10. thanks man, it's been a rough week to say the least. I finally got my planting done today after days of procrastination. I had some plants from the last batch that I culled today that just were not looking quite right. I killed off a few that were tiny, deformed, looked funny etc. It's survival of the fittest around here and I don't have time/money to waste in plants that won't perform well. So now everything I have left looks stellar and the new seeds should be above dirt any day. 11. Looks like they are coming along nicely. Feel better soon MichMan.

  12. Thanks man I really appreciate that. I'm finally almost over it. I'm almost 30 and have never been so sick my whole life. I finally just ate for the first time in 5 days. On the road to recovery now, which is good because I have a TON of work left to do to get this grow going. Mixing soil, homemade tomato cages, and possibly homemade smart pots.

  13. I've got four indoor plants going on, but I'm getting more and more curious about setting up a guerrilla grow outdoors for the season as well. As you can tell by my name, I'm from Michigan too.

Either I scout my own spot, or I try to get in touch with someone I know that owns some nice land.

Will be checking in on this though, seems pretty interesting :D

  14. nice to see a fellow Michigander around. Best of luck to you this season. What area of the state are you from? Any idea on strains you're pursuing?
