My personal experience with quitting smoking weed and cigarettes.

If you smoke weed, and don't plan to stop. THIS POST WASN'T FOR YOU. Keep tokin' bruh!

Recently since the start of February I was looking to quit smoking weed and cigarettes as it personally started to "take over" or at least drastically effect my day to day life. (Socially, Emotionally, Physically & Mentally)

This may help a few people who are also looking to quit as well so don't debate, I think this may actually help a few people out as it has helped myself.

    A little background..
All 2014 "19 years old" I've been smoking weed heavily "1-4 sessions a day" & Smoking a pack of cigarettes a week.
Close to new years; going into 2015. I sat down and calculated that I had got baked 219 days of the year. (60% of the year!) I was shocked, well actually I laughed at first aha but whether you consider that heavy or not 60% of the year spent high is well, high. By the fall a Q "well rationed out" would last me 3-4 days all to myself and I realized this was no longer just a hobby, but something I really relied on to just relax and unwind.
Figured hey, we all have our one thing we do, whether its weed, night out with friends, having a glass of wine or beer and it was healthier than going through packs a day of cigarettes. So, I dismissed the thought of it being a problem.

Everyone's bodies are different, may not be effects for everyone out there but I noticed my head and my thoughts were very foggy when I was burnt out or didn't smoke for a couple days. I felt less witty and quick with jokes to my friends like I usually am. My friends would actually notice when their talking I'd be less focused on what they were saying and when I took a break for a week. I felt somewhat deattached from myself for the past 2 years.

My personal withdrawl timeline for HEAVY USE:
    -Irritability/Easily Angered (Days 4-14)
    -Trouble Sleeping (Days 2-4)
    -Vivid Dreams (Days 2-7)
    -Headaches (Days 2-7)
    -Foggy Headedness (Days 1-21)
    -Anxiety (Days 2-14)
    The New Plan..
I decided to cut back February 1st, sticking to whats left of my rez since and now I'm dry. Which by now would have been at least smoked Half and O to only rez. Now as of today, I am now ONE WEEK Sober from weed!

I have switched over to vaping in January and haven't bought a pack since I got it, 12mg nicotine and starting next month 0mg. I no longer remotely crave cigarettes to buy & don't have that nicotine urge to have a smoke when a friend or co-worker offers a one. Vaping allows for me to still hang out with my toking/smoking buddies and I don't feel left out while they exhale monster clouds. In fact; I can make WAY thicker clouds! I still feel apart of the dynamic in that way and I'm doing my own thing and my friends are nice enough to be supportive around me and respectful that I quit and not pack me bowls, give me speeches and peer pressure me cause if they did, I would stop hanging out with them if they don't respect me. I'm saving alot more money vaping now, E-juice is the cost of a pack of smokes but lasts me pretty damn long. I get to buy and try hundreds of different flavors so it never gets old or I If I get sick of the same old flavor. Its awesome! Instead of focusing on which strain I'm buying next I get to think about different flavors I want to try next and get excited about that now instead! Now instead of wake and bake, I wake n vape first thing in the morning like the same routine and it makes me not miss weed one bit knowing I'm feeling a little more like myself now everyday. :)

If you smoke weed, and don't plan to stop. THIS POST WASN'T FOR YOU. Keep tokin' bruh! I still love weed and damn I love a good indica! This is for the for the few people that maybe are looking to quit so they can know that they aren't the only one going through the same struggle as I have been overcoming and I'd really recommend buying yourself a vape with good big ol' battery and some of your favorites flavors and give it a shot! It honestly, I can't stress this enough, helped me more than anything. Well support from friends saying "I'm proud of you." Helps but when your bored on your couch not smoking ANYTHING, THIS, THIS BABY, Will let you still smoke and exhale huge clouds without all of the implications that get in the way of your goal to quit smoking. Start at 8Mg nicotine, or if you smoke alot 12mg, "I get a head rush from chain vaping this level" and make your way down, to 6mg, than 0mg. You might be surprised. I sure was! Anyways, best of luck and cheers!

Oh wow! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one whose been able to quit smoking with the helpful alternative from using a vape instead! I'm happy it helped you too man, and YES!!!! Being able switch flavors and have such amazing variety to pick from is one of favorite things I love about vaping now!! I can't wait to start 0mg too, you get even better flavor. :) Although I'll miss the nicotine..

More than operating an oxygen machine...? Cause I'm sure THAT electronic will be a far bigger hassle to deal with down the road.

  10. I just need to buy myself a vaporizer!

  11. This is effective if you want it to be. People claiming that its to much trouble with electronics and a mess to get into that is because your to addicted to put forth the effort to quit. If you put forth the effort and everytime you crave you just puff your vape it is effective. Make the vape your addiction and then eventually go 0 nicotine content make that vape your addiction and then soon enough you will be able to throw it away as well if you are strong.

  12. I'm 19 and trying to stop until June, I have college classes and I smoke a lot of weed and been so lazy as of lately, I'm not really addicted it's already been a week since I smoked. Sometimes I miss the high feeling but just thought I share this with you since you stopped.

Yeah, I brought my nicotine to the lowest 3mg and only smoked pot a couple times month on occasion.

I'll definitely will smoke when I'm with people. Back then I was just trying to cut off smoking constantly everyday.
Vaping definitely helped. Plus now I get smoke breaks at work

  14. Awesome work!

I quit smoking cigarettes a couple months back using a vaporizer. I've got the eLeaf iStick 30w and an Aspire Nautilus tank. It's rad! I make my own e juice with 0mg nicotine. I'd like to eventually stop using it but it really is awesome blowing huge thick plumes in your living room, haha. My advice to anyone going the vape route is to invest in a good quality one. If you have a cheap one and it breaks you'll be buying a pack of cigarettes in no time. At least I did.

Also used to smoke weed every day and now just on weekends. Gives me something to look forward to during the week.

  15. Thanks man! Cheers, I'm happy to hear you've quit smoking. That's awesome!
I used to have the eLeaf 50w and loved the battery life and build quality definitely a solid vape.

I like to vape everyday too cause it imitates the same psychological motion of breathing out clouds and feeling my throat warm and tingling from the nicotine to mimic taking bong rips. Like a placebo effect. Especially in the morning when I used to wake and bake for so long it being able to chuck clouds in the morning was enough to keep me from not needing or wanting weed so much.

I save my weed for the weekends too and ohhh mannn I'm sure you agree with how much more money we save and how it decreases our tolerance so when we do smoke on the weekends it's an even stronger high off of even less!
