Mental tricks to smoke less?

  1. What if any mental tricks do you use to smoke less? I get an ounce for $125 and I think what I'm going to do to conserve it is to bag it up into like 2.5 gram bags and everytime I take from my stash I'm just going to put $20 in. That way it makes me feel the money I spend on weed more often and when I go to actually buy the next ounce ill have the money for the ounce and an extra $100 for either saving or getting a vape or something.
     
  2. I mean thats a good trick for seeing how much money you're spending but I don't know if it will make you smoke less. It's going to be all psychological and you're hoping that the money route will be enough to cut back. I've never been able to "trick" myself into doing anything because I know what I'm trying to do so just taking a few days off of the weed or at least cutting the consumption in half right away is probably the best way I know how to cut back. If you're an all day smoker, try toking up only in the afternoon for a few days. The hardest for me is always the first day or 2 but that's when I make sure I exercise more to get a boost of endorphins to make that uneasy feeling go away. Btw, at $125 an ounce, I don't know if I would cut back at all :lol:
     
  3. 3 suggestions.
     
    1) Schedule your sessions. Smoke only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Or only twice on the weekend.
     
    2) Use your smoke sessions as a reward system. You smoke only after a few days of getting everything done to reward your self.
     
    3) Invest in a good vaporizer.
     
  4. Also remember taking breaks will only help lower your tolerance.
     
    Allowing you to get higher on less weed.
     
  5. Ya but the problem is my schedule of when I have the opportunity to blaze flexes a lot and so it's hard for me to schedule smokes and I'm just not good at sticking to just telling myself to smoke less. I think seeing the money leave my hand every few days will work better haha
    And getting a vape is in the works. That's what the saved up money is going to
     
  6. Its easy. Smoke 4 bowls a day. Or if you really wanna conserve, smoke a half bowl 4 times a day. You use barely anything and get high 4 times a day.
     
  7. Sounds like you just need to strengthen your willpower.

    Also, try getting more potent bud, it'll cost more but it will take less to get high.
     
  8. This is actually a really cool idea if you have the willpower to do it. Even in "loosing the money", you'll still be left with more money later to buy weed. 
     
    For me, I'll use a one-hitter, or I'll pack really small bowls. I try not to fall into getting way more high than I need to (just high, I don't need to be out-of-my-mind baked every single time I smoke, especially not in evenings). I think that setting times/days to smoke is a good idea. I try not to smoke during the morning because I'll feel burnt out and then want to go back for more later in the day.
    And like someone else said, smoking after you've got everything done. You get shit done and you can smoke without worrying about what you have to do. 
     
    If I really want to smoke on say Monday, but the days I'm aiming to smoke on are Tuesday/Thursday/weekends and I have stuff to get done, I'll get everything prepared for smoking for the next day; cleaning my room up, making munchies, getting everything organized. I have everything ready for the next day but I don't smoke. 
     
    That said, sticking to too strict of a schedule for anything isn't good. There are some days where you're going to be super stressed and need that bowl. Take it, but don't give in too often.
     
  9. I like to grind it up as much as possible and then take bong hits. I feel like I get more from less that way. Blunts, joints and bowls are just a waste IMO.
     
  10. Buy and smoke shake\tfor a month or so..then switch back to the bud. smoke only in bongs/dry peices or vapes. i consume 3 bowls (three hits each bowl) and i go into a kush coma each time.
