How long does clean urine last?

    Hey guys, let's say hypothetically I'm going to get drug tested very soon and there's no chance of my urine testing negative for thc, if I were to collect a drug-free friend's urine, how long would I be able to hold on to it before it's unable to be used in the test? Yes I know it's disgusting but the test can be in a couple of days, it can be in a couple of weeks, who knows. Thanks

    The only problem I'd know of is keeping it warm. If you give the tester a cup of cold piss, they're going to think that either a. you're Dracula or b. it's not fresh.

    So I can collect the urine and keep it on the side just incase, and heat it up to body temperature when I get tested?

    My friends have done it before, and I don't see any scientific reason as to why it wouldn't be invalid or something. I'd probably put it in the fridge to keep it fresh (even though that is a little disgusting).

    if you need to warm up a sample i used hot hands air activated charcoal hand warmers there are sold at any sporting goods store they get realy hot so let the sample cool for 10 minuts before you give the sample an there sticky so wear two pairs of underware stick the clean piss in the inside of the first pair and stick the hand warmers to the outside :) have fun :)

    No they refrigerate samples for transport and before testing In a laboratory setting
    I store piss in the fridge for emergences

    I know for a fact my mom was a lab tech for quest diagnostics they store piss in friges all the time to keep it fresh.

    What if it was room temperature? I don't want to have to explain to my dad why there is a cup of urine in the fridge

    Collecting and storing of urine. Just another terrible unforeseen consequence of the drug war. 
     
    I don't know what type of facility you're getting your urine screened, but in my area I know they use temp guns and electronic thermometers to read the urine. I actually see these tests myself due to the nature of my job and I know they want to see the pee pee in a certain temperature range.
     
    Side note, how do you live with yourself as a urine collector knowing that every day you play with pee?

    you could but for how long. Piss starts turning into amoina in 5-10 hours best to keep in the fridge hidden if your worried that dad will find it. Here's another trick instead of keeping in a cup. Take a empty pill container wash it out really good piss in pill container and store it. Is this test for a job? Or is daddy going to the dollar store and testing you. Lol jk jk jk but try that and don't you think having a cup full of piss on the table or were ever a little weird or suspicious.

    Just a quick question, if you were to take urine and store it in a bottle for a week at room temperature, how much would it affect your drug test?

    Its going to turn into amoina and any one that sees the sample is going to see how dark and cloudy it is is going to reject it and ask for a new sample. And the smell is going to give it away. Stale piss is putrid. I pissed in a bottle before and left it sitting in my room for a week found it and opened it. Boy it smelled like death. Just keep any biological samples in refrigeration and you be fine. If you need to warm a sample do what I said before with the hand warmers

    I remember reading somewhere that some particles or something else in the urine starts breaking down. So I'd say the sample should be "given" within an hour of it leaving your friends body for best results. A few hours later probably wouldn't be the end of the world either. You should Google that, there's pretty solid info on this subject. The important thing is keeping it at the right temperature. So you should strap it to your body somehow to keep it at body temperature.
