So, if you're a Christian go ahead and start.. I'm doing it out of pure boredom, and would like to keep a nice little debate going on GC, because why not? I will simply not respond to immature flames, so please, if you're going to say anything, act somewhat intelligent..

    ..Anyone?

  4. Since you didnt state your worldview, I gather you are just planning on challenging someone elses belief system. So you want somebody to come here and endlessly defend their worldview against your criticisms? I suppose that could be fun for you.

If you want an actual debate, state your worldview and debate the veridicality as opposed to a Christians worldview. Or if you are that bored and think a one sided debate sounds fun, state your worldview and ask people to challenge you.

  5. My worldviews complicated man

  6.
I'm a Christian, what do you want me to say?

  7. Lol, most peoples' are, but i suppose you are looking for a rigid Biblical literalist Christian to debate, which I am not. I dont know if I would call myself a Christian, seems to me Christ did not want people to 'follow him' in a religious sense, but rather demonstrate the capabilities of all humans if they recognize their potential as free human beings created by the Infinite to be free. I am not sure if we are literally divine or simply have the potential to 'channel' the Infinite through our finite form. I'm not sure it makes much of a difference. Christ represented the potential of the free human being, demonstrating that none of us have any overarching authority (this would contradict the notion of freedom). This is why I think freedom is of prime importance to the success of humanities progression. This is also why I think freedom has more value than life. As long as we regard life as more important than freedom, wannabe authorities and suppressors will use threats on our life to strip our freedom. Thus, the opposition to the freedom of a person is the limiting of free humanities potential.

There is my worldview simplified, I am willing to defend it as long as you are at least open to the possibility that I may be right. If you presume I am wrong then it will just be a battle of wits with no real purpose.

  8. Alright lets do this.

  9. I was raised Christian in a Presbyterian home in the Bible Belt of the South. While I can't agree with everything the church says (even in a non denominational church) I still continue to find my roots within the Christian community. Am I perfect? No. Have I made terrible decisions? Or course. I'm not here to preach or try to make anyone else believe the same things I do. Honestly, I'm comfortable around everyone - whether you're Atheist, Agnostic, Baptist, Catholic, or Hindu...I'll respect you if you respect me.

I'm a very spiritual person actually and I believe in Karma and good vs evil. I'm not the stereotypical Christian that says to everyone who doesn't think the same as me like a robot, "I'll pray for you." That is just downright disgustingly looking down your nose at someone. I don't think Christians were supposed to go on missions to tell everyone who doesn't believe that they're assholes...

It's just not my personal beliefs, I know I get judged immediately when I say that but honestly...I'm one person and Christianity represents a good majority of people. I'm ashamed of how my fellow believers act and sometimes I wish I could just believe that nothing happens after death but I'm always brought back to my roots.

So my apologies if Christians ever gave anyone a hard time about something stupid. Not all of us are like that. I say id God made everything on earth, then MJ is perfectly fine to smoke. It's natural, it has yet to kill anyone and it makes everyone feel better. So screw the uptight Christians that try to represent us all - I'm a one of a kind.

When I made this thread this is at least somewhat close as to what I was looking for. (They just piss me off). But it seems like everyone on GC or, at least on this thread is to smart for that. Oh, how I love grasscity..:)

  12. ? Lol. Sorry, I was looking for a debate. Not an argument.

  17. Harry Joffa and Walter Berns both died yesterday...

there has to be a god.

  18. I think you missed the point.

As an op you are responsible for starting a discussion. You didn't provide many talking points. You literally just said "Christians, come.in here and debate me"

    About what exactly?

You gotta say something to get it started. Like "the Bible contradicts itself here, anyone got anything to say"

You limited the thread participation from the start

  19. I'm not interested in debating

  20. Jesus Christ is the only way to the father. No other way except through him. I believe Jesus died for the sins of man so the we are made perfect just like Him. I believe that Jesus is fully man and fully God. I believe that He did not sin. I believe in the Holy Spirit and that He still gives us His spirit to be in relation with.
There's what I believe. Anyone wana debate?
