Hermie or swollen calyx :(

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Mr.Pink7, Nov 22, 2014.

  1. These were grown from clones so I am not sure if these are hermies or swollen calyxs :(. Anyone know for sure? All the pictures I saw looked similar to both. I am 5 weeks into flowering and they were recently stressed by the cold.

Swollen calyx. Pollen sacks are more rounded and they end up popping open.

    This is a male sack

if a plant has calyxs that look like these, and when you open them there is a small white with some brown thing that looks like a young seed, how does one tell if that will develop ie. has been pollinated?

the thing inside as mentioned is the size of a pin head, and is soft yet feels like it is starting to turn hard. plants are week 4 of flower.

  6. if you see a seed then it was definitely pollinated.

  7. you are looking at the ovum. the pistils come out of them. when pollinated they turn into seeds.

Its a Swollen calyx for sure, I had the same thing show up in the last two days in the 6-7th week of flower, it kept me up half the night reading and I'm sure they are ok
