    Right! If you listen to Taurus and you think it sounds the same you're nuts lol. It's the same progression yes buy there are major distinctions to be made between the two.

    Influenced? No doubt. Copied? No. Stairway is an ascending prog, Taurus is descending. They are textured differently and if you're not willing to hear the distinctions then everyone has copied everyone. They should not get paid off for influence for the opening notes for two riffs that become completely different if you listen further than 10 seconds into each song.

    I will admit that Zeppelin has plagiarized without credit, blatantly before though. Dazed and Confused... Thats the big one. >.> but on a case to case basis, i think the stairway and Taurus one isn't as solid of a case. Whatever. My favorite Zepp songs arent any of the ones that were influenced or plagiarized.

    I love Tangerine. Side 2 of Led Zeppelin III (Gallows Pole, Tangerine, That's The Way, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, Hats off To Roy Harper) is my favorite collection of Led Zeppelin songs if I'm listening to the vinyls. 
     
     
    Not sure if there is a single greatest song I could say is the greatest Zeppelin song.

    this became one of my favorite zep songs after hearing it on some unmentionables. once you get to about 4 mins in the chords/bass is so fuckin amazing. only zeppelin could put together amazing sounds like that
