You would wait til trichomes turn, not leaves .. And some folks don't agree with that method. Not sure what's been eating at them but I would worry about that so you can have a harvest. No bs.

Strange that means it's already been flowering for about 12 weeks...is there a chance it's nighttime got disrupted at some point? Anyway you need to wait until 75% of those white hairs curl and turn orange...then it's ripe 50% is ok too

This is almost true. The best indication is to check out the trichromes. (The little "crystals" that are developing on your buds. They start out clear white and as they mature change milky white, then amber. Usually its good to wait until those trichs are 40-60% amber, then harvest. Keep them pests away from your girls boss!
