Curing Buds In Plastic Bags?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by inkyscratches, Aug 17, 2014.

  1. been picking my buds one or two per day so i dont have to get a super stiff neck and back trimming (i'm old). so obviously they are drying at the rate of one or two a day so i want to cure them in small groups or individually. can i do this in small plastic bags? i have enough quart mason jars but i'm guessing all that extra air space in a jar might not be a good idea. any other ideas for curing lots of small amounts not all at the same start time?

  2. You want the headspace in the jar for gases and moister to circulate properly. Plastic bags let to much moisture through. Your buds will get way too dry.

  3. The extra airspace in the jar isnt going to cause a  problem. Cure in the jar man.

Dont use plastic bags just use the jars.

Drying in a day or 2 isnt good so you may lose some flavour and smell.

  5. I deliberately leave airspace in my jars, that's how you cure bud.
