No Mans Sky

  1. So this game looks like it is gonna be the most ultimate stoner game of all time. If you don't know what it is, it is an open world space/planetary exploration game coming out next year (hopefully) for the ps4.

Here is an article about it from ign with a couple videos as well.

Game looks sweet as hell to me! Who else is excited about this one?

  5. This caught my eye as well. Definitely has potential.

  6. I have become obsessed with the idea of this game. It looks and sounds almost too good to be true. If you watch all the recent videos from GameSpot, a lot is explained and it all a sounds mind blowing. If this game delivers on its promises then It will mean the end of real life for me.

I am just imagining playing this game with an oculus rift. Feeling like you are really there!

God fucking dammit this game is gonna be epic!

Apparently this game is so big, if you spent 1 second on each planet it would take 5 billion years to explore. Here watch this vid.

  8. I'd t-bag you whilst you played that game and videotape it to show the forum members.

  9. After seeing it at e3 it became one of my most anticipated games

  11. Wow.

The more footage that is release about this game, the more i think its too good to be true.

Sean Murray and the rest of the crew at Hello Games are my last hope for the video game industry.

  12. They seem to be doing something pretty incredible.  I really hope that it lives up to what they are promising.  It looks sweet as hell, so my hopes are pretty high.

  13. A world like that means nothing if the gameplay consists of flying around and shooting stuff. Hopefully it isnt that shallow.

  14. I've always wished game creators would make more interactive and enticing enviroments.

Fallout, ultima online, and minecraft had pretty good features.

Imagine if you combined all 3 concepts. Items would exist in the world, not just as stats on your characters inventory. You could put a weapon on your wall as decoration, or hide something behind a rock for another player to take.

You could dig, break, and build in the world terrain. Grow plants. Destroy plants. Dig rivers.

And all of that stuff would be secondary to actual game content.

I guess I have really high expectations

  15. I'm hoping for something along the lines of...each player gets their own planet and gets to determine how it evolves. The player decides how hot or cold,m the planet is, how much oxygen, sulfur etc is on the planet. How many moons, rings, etc. and based in your choices is how the planet will evolve and what can grow and live on said planet.

  16.
After doing some reading, it seems that the game will have a continuously generated universe that all players exist in, except it will be the size of a galaxy, and players might never find others. Hopefully this game has some Spore-like elements to it where you can build civilizations/life, terraform etc.

  17. It might be a little bigger than a galaxy.

    It will have 2^64 planets.
    18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets.
    18.5 quintillion planets

Sean Murray estimated that if you were able to teleport instantly from planet to planet and only spend 1 second on each planet before moving on, it would take 500 billion years.

The age of the observable universe in real life is roughly 13.7 billion years.

  18. I don't think you should be able to build planets.

It's more fun just to explore and survive environments that are trippy and possibly hostile.

The game could be ground-breaking even if it's limited to those elements.

  19. I will probably go next gen when this game comes out

  20. Game looks awesome. Definitely going to have it get a ps4 for this game.
