Yesss finally found this genre thread! My high song: Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to love. The live one. How could any stoner not enjoy

He didn't write that, Bob Dylan did He's still great though Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
- Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watch Tower - For me, this song is the definition of the hippie type of genre - The Mama's & The Papa's - California Dreamin' - Song is super relaxing and gives you that 60's vibe man Stay faded
You know what a good song is that they always played live "bring it on home" so much energy those guys had Sent from my iPod touch using Grasscity Forum
Cream Jimmy Hendrix Experience The Doors Pink Floyd The Pixies Built to Spill Modest Mouse Well there's a shit ton but those are my top choices, I have a question tho for all you Pink Floyd fans, Which era do you like better? Sid Barret, or David Gilmour? Personally I loooovvveee Sid Barret and I kind of see him the same way I see Jim Morrison (even tho they have many differences) Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
No offense, but I HATE that song. The singer has the most annoying nasal twang in his voice. And at the end of the song he sings "Ohhhh oh ho ho ho" and I cringe when I hear it. Very over rated sang.
I like both. Syd was very psychedelic. David was talking about how humanity can't work out differences and problems, and also how the band is so disconnected; I like them both. I just don't like waters because of his personality. Here's a great song from Woodstock. http://youtu.be/bW5M5xljdCI
I'm submitting Michel Pagliaro. He was Canadian Talent back in late sixties, I believe. I think I can detect some 'Beatles' influence. The guy is good.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JtmGo8rfAo&index=3&list=PL22B50DB68FC858DC and another.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqsAgtXNlZ0
Love the bands being discussed in this thread. I would add the under-rated Budgie to this list with Breadfan below from 1973. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orYr_dVnb48 I've tried to get into the newer bands but for the most part it doesn't work. To me they just aren't even close to someone like Pink Floyd. BTW, if anyone can find clips from their 1977 "In the flesh" tour and post, I'd greatly appreciate it. I got into them late; when Animals came out and walked backwards to re-explore Wish and Dark Side; and then discover Meddle, Saucerful, to Piper. Of course I started at a time before MTV, where you put on an album, and turn down the TV volume to make your own live videos. It seemed like Floyd somehow knew I'd be doing that; along with a few others on these lists.
