Year Round Growing?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by imjfo, Jul 25, 2014.

  1. Okay so I live in southern California ~3000 feet in chaparral type hills so frost/below freezing tempertures are rare (snowed 5 times in the passed 10 years with only 1-2 inches of snow)

So I was wondering if somehow we can grow maybe more than once per year?

I always read that the vegging/flower processes are directly effected by maturity/genetics rather than light cycles, outdoors.

So theoretically we can put some clones/seedlings in the ground right now under the green house and let them veg till around December and by then I except them to be mature enough to start flowering and we would have a whole another harvest by March right around the time we start putting them in the ground anyways?

Basically my question is, is it possible to grow throughout the year if the climate is right?

  2. You will need to provide them suplimental lighting. Without lighting the plants will not enough hours of light to stay in veg. They will flower as soon as they are sexually mature.

  3. Yes chronicle is right. You would have to in some places but where I'm at, in the south east. I can start now and harvest nice plants in december. It all just depends I guess..

  4. What about full autos

  5. Autos will work. They flower based on time not hrs of light. As long as the don't get first they will be ok.

  6. Autos suck in the summer. They would be even worse during the winter. Autos are meant for indoor growth with 29 hrs if light to reach their full potential.
Ki show them your little guy.

  7. Best way to do it is build a veg cab. Grow to the size you want and then throw out for flower. Anything time after aug and plants will flower outside.

  8. This little guy. She's tiny and became an experiment after getting stunted. Show how any little mistake can affect autos. She was slightly over watered for a few days and it made a huge difference compared to the other autos I grew this year. Autos do suck but I am giving them a shot for experience. Even my best autos will only yield maybe 3 oz. they have a week left before harvest. It can be done during winter your just gonna have small plants. It takes a bit of knowledge and experience to grow a decent auto. Winter will be a bit hard to grow. Good luck
