Weed Killer Got Close To Plants, They Seem To Be Affected.....?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by CurriePower, Jul 17, 2014.

  1. My girlfriend has a  vegetable path at the top of the garden where she tries to grow vegetables. There are a ton of weeds around the patch and she used some weed killer to get rid of them. I wasnt here when she did this and the last row of my cannabis plants are around 5 feet from where she sprayed. She sais that she didn't spray them but the leaves seem to have dropped and they look affected. The plants are currently almost all over 6 foot and in 20-50 gallon grow bags. Can the wind blow the weed killer onto the plants and affect them? Or is weed killer really specific and stays where it is. Do any of you use weed killer in your garden?

Thanks for any help and replies.

Lets look into the crystal ball maddam azura.... all I can say is good luck, never been in that situation to even fathom a guess.
And yea weed killer is very specific, it kills WEEDS which cannabis is.

Simple solution, get a new girlfriend! =)

  4. Of course wind could have blown it 5 feet. Sounds like your GF is quite the airhead so yeah she was probably spraying the air. I wouldn't want to eat or smoke anything with weed killer sprayed on. However, at this point at least it shouldn't have developed much bud. Maybe a few rains will set it right.

  5. Thanks for the advice ;)

  6. Yeah this has really fucked up this season for me. I had 200 plants going and more than half have been damaged in some way. SO much time and money wasted. Im getting the feeling she did it on purpose. And now is too late in the season to get a decent yield. Started them in early april on even the 9 foot tall blue dream is sick. Damn.

  7. Why didn't she just pull the weeds? She clearly got weed killer on the veggies too :(
