Gotta say drop D is my favorite non-standard tuning, although I tried open G (D-G-D-G-B-D) the other day and was having a lot of fun.

Some classical guitar. This guy is pretty outstanding

  3. Hey I'm new here and i am a huge fan when it comes to the guitar. I have a 12 string acoustic, a normal acoustic, a stratocaster copy, and a b. C. Rich warlock. My favorite genres to play are blues and classic rock.

You all will appreciate this.  Lately this has been my jam to vape to.  That riff just gets in you head man....and Steve Vai is just ridiculous.

  7. And also if you don't already know how to play it; learn Snuff by Slipknot. It makes you fall even deeper in love with your guitar lol

  10. My favorite Dimebag solos are also his least technical . Floods (both ) and Planet Caravan .

  11. I don't fit in here at all, don't have any clue what most of y'all are talking about.

I've been playing since the mid-70s. --, old Honky Tonk country, bluegrass, square dance/fiddle tunes, 30s, 40s & 50s popular music, EZ listening, etc.

My first guitar was an Ibanez flat top (still have it) I have a Guild electric I bought used in the late 70s, and a '96 Takamine acoustic/electric I bought two years ago. It's the only one I play anymore.

When I get hammered this is one (of a zillion) favorite things I listen to. I only care about the first half with O'Connor and Vignola; when they get done I shut it off. Be sure you have the bass turned up:

  12. @[member="WaxPayne"] Floods is one of my favorite songs of all time. I think Guitar world rated it in the top 3 solos ever.
