Gotta say drop D is my favorite non-standard tuning, although I tried open G (D-G-D-G-B-D) the other day and was having a lot of fun.
Hey I'm new here and i am a huge fan when it comes to the guitar. I have a 12 string acoustic, a normal acoustic, a stratocaster copy, and a b. C. Rich warlock. My favorite genres to play are blues and classic rock. Sent from my LG-L38C using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Sorry guys I've been busy livin lately so I've neglected my thread, buuuuuuuut I have a surprise for you all to make up for it It's An ibanez ART300 "Every living thing on Earth dies alone" "Every living thing on Earth dies alone"
That's the new baby, so here's my original two to follow suite "Every living thing on Earth dies alone"
You all will appreciate this. Lately this has been my jam to vape to. That riff just gets in you head man....and Steve Vai is just ridiculous. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW2FQ1w4f38 *2:00 minutes in is when the song starts* Oh and here's my Martin D-15 made in 2006. I have no electric right now but use to have a stand American strat, sunburst. Sweet pickup OP, looks nice. View attachment 1489438
And also if you don't already know how to play it; learn Snuff by Slipknot. It makes you fall even deeper in love with your guitar lol "Every living thing on Earth dies alone"
I don't fit in here at all, don't have any clue what most of y'all are talking about. I've been playing since the mid-70s. --, old Honky Tonk country, bluegrass, square dance/fiddle tunes, 30s, 40s & 50s popular music, EZ listening, etc. My first guitar was an Ibanez flat top (still have it) I have a Guild electric I bought used in the late 70s, and a '96 Takamine acoustic/electric I bought two years ago. It's the only one I play anymore. When I get hammered this is one (of a zillion) favorite things I listen to. I only care about the first half with O'Connor and Vignola; when they get done I shut it off. Be sure you have the bass turned up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu98TiAdd6o
@[member="WaxPayne"] Floods is one of my favorite songs of all time. I think Guitar world rated it in the top 3 solos ever.
First song I learned to play was Transylvanian Hunger by Darkthrone Metal as fuck lol I love how Burning Eyes of the Werewolf sounds on acoustic, so I'm always playing that too. don't really play too much and dont know chords for shit lol... Might just take a guitar class this year tho so ... Cool
Don't know if anyone here has heard of this guy, but his acoustic game is on fire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY7GnAq6Znw
