Just checked on my ladies this morning. The poor kosher gal is having to revert from bloom while still trying to recover from neglect First up is the OG 18-2 looking awesome OG 18-3 And finally the Kosher gal
Sorry for the late post on this but i was out deep sea for 2 weeks and service was less than spotty. Plus i had to get a new scale, my old one was screwing me. Here are the final weight results of my genetic cross project . : 4.7oz per 3 1/2" plant X4: 4.2oz per 3 1/2" plant X5: 3.7oz per 4" plant Ill post final details once my data collection is completed. The tenth subject that was to survey the results does not want to participate at this time, so ill have a fill in tomorrow. Good sign tho that im down to minimal remainders on all 3. They are all hits so far. After i assess the data ill decide if and what to eliminate.
Just got back home from a 5 day trip. Thanks to my wife, the recovery continues. First up. OG18-2 Up next. OG18-3 And last but def not least. Kosher Kush She's starting to come out of flower and recover from long neglect She was already starting to frost up nicely in early flower. I remember the glory days of this strain. Soon again
Watered my girls today. Added 5 mils of calmag and 2.5 mils is sillica . After mixing everything very well, I adjusted the ph to 6.2 I also did a little selective defoliation.
Left everything watered so they should be ok over this 3 day trip. I can't wait to see the progress made by then. Leaving this morning for Oakland, be back Thursday.
Update OG 18-2 OG 18-3 Kosher kush I have two babies, so far so good. Once they take roots I'll reveal the strain. I'm so excited because it's from a credible source.
I've been reading up a little more on air layering which basically is rooting a clone while it's still attached to the mother plant. The object is to find a nice strong branch and at the location where you would sever it from the plant, one would only remove the outer layer about an inch in length, cover the wound with rooting agent and sealing it all up in some sort of plastic. Luckily for this experiment I have two strong side shoots to test. Once you select the branch you will try and root. Stabilize your rooting media like you normally would, but you'll need to cut it down the middle to fit around the stem.
Time for an update OG 18-2 OG18-3 Kosher Kush The OG18-2 cuttings are still looking good, not roots yet. Now that I can see some new growth on both cuts, I happy to say that I can now include Gorilla Glue#4 to my small but powerful list of strains. And one last addition. My auto pink diesel/amnesia cross has broken trough.
Sorry so long since a update. Here's how the rankings played out on the prodgeny. Scores are an average and on a scale of 1 to 10: X5- 9.1 X4- 8.9 - 8.0 X1- not reviewed These are overall scores. I have samples out to a testing lab to get potency profiles for each strain. After that I'll decide if to eliminate or give up any of these strains. I do not. I think they need a light proof water barrier. Not sure but I'll give it 14 days then I'll go in there and check. There is a slight chance that the wound was not deep enough and may have healed. I just read that some people put a tooth pick through the intended root zone to prevent healing of the wound. We'll see...
