Materials: Oil (preferably coconut), Crock-pot, Weed, candy/deep fry thermometer, mason jar to store oil, stainless steel mesh food strainers, brownie mix and its ingredients. *Optional Soy Lecithin

    • First  you need around 28 grams of ABV or 7-14 grams of dank bud for your brownies depending on how potent you want them. Grind the weed if you are using fresh weed.

    • If you are using ABV then you can skip decarboxylation however if you're using fresh bud you'll need to use this method from Bad Kitty Smiles, all credit for decarboxylation goes to her.

    • Decarbing is a touchy issue for many folks, some know they need it but don't know the
methods and practices that cause decarbing, some aren't aware of it at all, others think

it's unnecessary and 'know' they get some amount of effect from eating bud on its own,

here's why: some herb, if it's old, commercial, over-dry, whatever the reason, for a variety

of reasons, some herb is already partially, or even full decarbed. The process begins

happening, very gradually, the moment you cut a plant down and begin depriving it of

water. The older the bud is, and the drier it gets, the more carbon dioxide and water vapor

is released, and the closer it is to removing the carboxyl group. It's something that is

almost never discussed publicly, but is frequently known in professional kitchens.

The fresher the herb, or the more moist the storage conditions, the more necessary and

extensive the decarbing process needs to be. Loose hash, separated from plant matter,

in general needs a bit less decarbing. With herb, depending on the age, I decarb for a full

20 minutes after the preheat, rather than including that warm up in my 20 minute time

    frame.

A food dehydrator works just as well, if not better than heat at decarbing, it reduces the

risk of damaging your product with excessive heat. It's hard to tell when your decarb is

completed when using heat, usually gently browned herb is a good sign but it often

means you've taken it a hair too far, and some material in the middle may not be

    completely decarbed.

    • Next get your crock-pot and put your weed in, then if using coconut oil melt your oil in the microwave or under hot water. Depending on how potent you want your oil you can use more oil to bud and create more oil but less strong oil. I use just enough oil to cover all of my material so it is somewhat soupy, because if you don't have enough oil your material will burn and ruin your oil. *If you are using soy lecithin this when you would add it, I add enough to lightly cover all my material.

    • Now the setting you use on your crock-pot to cook the oil varies thats why you need a candy/deep fry thermometer. You want to cook the oil between around 250-300 max before your oil will start to burn. I put my crock-pot on high with the thermometer in as well to track temps. Stir occasionally. I usually cook mine 8-10 hours, if you are using fresh bud I would cook longer any where from 14-24 hours.

    • After your oil is finished cooking you'll need some stainless steel mesh food strainers. I use 2. When making oil I use no coffee filters I first put one strainer inside the other then dump all the oil and vaped bud into the strainer. I use a spoon to push down on the bud to press all the oil out. When all the oil is out of that clump of material I pull the top strainer out dump the material and repeat till my crock-pot is empty. If want to get every last drop I recommend a spatula.  I don't mind the bits of bud in the brownies so I dont go through the hassle of straining it through filters unless I'm making iso hash but if you want you can.

    • Now to make weed brownies simply follow the instructions on the back but replace the oil with your weed oil. Also make sure to cook them at 300 so you don't damage the THC and CBD

  3. Yes probably not a lot more but every bit helps. When I vape I also tend to save my stems when I think of it just throw it in with the avb then cook it up with my oil.

  5. Nice doesnt look too brown you should get some fairly potent oil. Now all you gotta do is put enough oil to cover all the avb then just cook it and keep an eye on the temp and stir occasionally.
