So I've always really liked the idea of an all in one smoking apparatus, I'm a nut for efficiency. Closest I've personally owned is a dugout, which isn't saying much. I've spent some time today looking at the Wickie Pipe, the EZ pipe, 7Pipe, Solopipe, all that. And either because of poor reviews, or missing features that I want, none fit the bill. Then I came across this. So I want to know, are there any Proto Pipe owners here on the city, and would you recommend it as an all day, every day piece? Also, there's a knock-off sold here on the GC store called the "Brass Pipe Deluxe" which seems to be a bit cheaper, anybody know if it's worth saving the bucks or should I go all the way and get the real deal? I probably would anyway, but hey, if it's the same, might as well save a bit. This is the video that sold me, I didn't realize how big/easy to use the stash compartment was, that's the main thing I was looking for. Gotta have that bowl cover too. I'm also looking for a metal substitute of my glass pipe. But the proto pipe seemed too much hassle. Granted, it has everything, but I really want something that is very efficient to use. No turning knobs and locks to get whatnot to open. That's why i would rather go with the journey pipe. The only drawback with that one is that it's made of a nickel alloy.

wow not bad, i might feel a bit sketched out if i was at a stop light and was hitting this and any car pulled up next to me. dont think i would have that problem with a bat/one hitter and dugout. still cool tho, im really into efficiency as well.
I've owned one, it's definitely conveniant since everything it contains a stash, poker, bowl cover, etc. The bottom portion that acts as a screen comes out but you need to clean the pipe every so often. If you don't, that bottom peice is a bitch to get out. You basically have to hammer it out. If you clean it every so often it comes out pretty easy with the poker. Also, if you are using it for a little bit it gets pretty hot.
Yeah, I have a small one ftom ryot. Replaced the metal bat with an quartz cig. Up to now, it's my favourite piece.
Just gotta say I've owned a proto for about 18 years I now have 4. I love them. Lol easy as hell to clean if your resin trap gets stuck heat it up. The chamber holds about an 1/8 of herb. It has a big bowl, no screens to deal with. The lid holds anything not smoked in. The poker is awesome until you lose it but if you do you can get replacements. If I ever got pulled over I wouldn't mind chucking it either under the seat without worry, however if I was worried enough to toss it out the window I'd be back for it. Lol and everything would be totally cool. I soak them in alcohol and the resin just rubs out.
I've had a proto pipe for about 5 years and used it semi regularly until I lost it. It was one of the best pieces I've owned. I like the GC knockoff because it has the vape chamber that you can use for wax or oil (MORE EFFICIENCY). If you get one keep it clean and give it an iso+salt bath like once a month

I grew up with the Protopipe. I appreciated the ruggedness but found that it clogged often...of course it comes with a poker.

Here's mine, it pretty much stays dirty since it's a pain to clean it right. Looked on ebay and they were really expensive so I surfed the net and found this one for about $35. The same company sent me a bunch of blunt wraps and a roller a few days later that I didn't order. They told me 'keep em' when I alerted them to their mistake, lol I think this is my 3rd proto pipe....keep losing them. I like the streampunk look of it
