Proper bud storage question

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Greenunit, Aug 19, 2013.

  1. Hey blades
I have a question regarding how I store my bud, and I know these kinds of threads come up all the time but I've never found an answer to my question.

I usually store my bud in a ziploc baggie inside a mason jar so I can keep different pick ups separate and keep the jars clean, but I've heard people say that this is bad for weed because plastic degrades THC or dries it out faster or something like that.

Is there any truth to this? Should I just be keeping it in jars without the bags?

Thanks in advance for replies :smoke:

  2. Yeah its best if the nugs weren't touching plastic. To solve your problem, use empty baby food jars if you pick up small amounts of diff. strains. Basically just more jars but on the smaller side.

  3. [Put all your strains in one jar so everytime you smoke it's always a slightly different high. That's what i do when I have bulk

  4.
I like this idea I'm don' it now

  5. Why is this? Does plastic degrade THC or dry it out or what?

  6. It could possibly degrade it over time yes and trichs stick to the plastic.

  7. I like to mix different nugs in the same jar, but I'll keep something "special" or hard to get in a separate jar.

The mix jar may have different Indicas and Sativas and it's fun to guess what it is after a few quick tokes.

Might be paranoid, might be couch-locked, might be ready to write a song...it's all good.  Especially on a warm summer night.
