How to Avoid Animals Digging Up w/ Blood/Bone Meal ??

    Hi, I was wondering how you can prevent animals from digging up your plants when using Blood and Bone Meal?
     
    Is there anything that can substitute for these and which of the 2 is it that animals are attracted to, blood or bone meal ?
     
    I may just not use one if it is only one of them, but if not how can I prevent animals from digging up the fresh holes ? I've had this issue in the previous years

    Why not use different soil amendments instead?

    Yup was gonna say dont use it plenty of alternatives out there.

    Try using kelp and alfalfa meal, worm castings chicken manure, bat and sea pied guano. Crab shell meal and shrimp shell meals help too.

    Vampires and tampons are attracted to blood meal. Dogs are attracted to bone meal.
