Are my buds ready for harvest?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by bluntedsarah, Jun 29, 2013.

  1. I've been growing this plant all natural outside for ages now, it's my first one (yes, i'm a baby)
the fan leaves are all fucked, but i wanted to know if my beautiful buds are ready to be harvested yet?

    here's a pic  :yummy:   IMG_9873.PNG

(sorry, havent had time to take better ones!)

  2. WTF is that?  It looks to me it won't get much better than that and I doubt it fill out or have any new growth worth waiting for. I think waitiing would just make thc turn into cbd. Let's hear what the rest of the elite has to say

  3. I would atleast wait until you don't see any more white hairs shooting out. this shows that the bud is done growing and is ideally ready. or you could go for it now, seeing about 70% of the hairs are orange and it looks decent. waiting will give you more or a stoney feeling, and chopping it now possibly could have the effect more of a sativa. all up to you man, and the strain you're growing.

  4. a few more weeks

  5. I'd let it go a little bit (1-2 weeks). Never grown myself, but I've been around a few grows. And I've read through a lot on this forum :p

  6. No its definetly not ready yet. You want to wait until the orange hairs start to recede back into the bud. Id say another 2 weeks possibly 3. I know what its like i have two plants and one is super chronic and dense and the other just wont fill the buds out they just get bigger lol. Heres a pic of my plant that reminds me of yours. I plan on cutting it in 2 weeks and i started the flush a week ago. If your outdoors and in the US your way to early. image.jpg

  7. wait two to three weeks until the pistils turn amber and recede into the bud. you could still get a lot more out of that looks nice for a first but harvesting now will make your bud harsh and nasty.
