Broken Ice Pinch

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by dcruise, Jun 13, 2013.

  1. Hey guys,

So I bought some of those metal cubes that you can freeze that don't melt, to put in my bong. Good idea in theory right?

Turns out they're pretty heavy and when I put one in, it broke off part of where the ice pinch is, creating a hole in the glass.

I took some duct tape and covered it up and now works fine.

Does anyone know if the duct tape is a suitable long term solution? Anyone ever covered up a broken part of a bong with tape or anything?

It really sucks that it broke, but hey, still works for now.

  2. Ive done that my bong actually broke into 9 large pieces an this girl at my pad decided to superglue it, worked for another two weeks! But its a temp solution.

  3. It's too late now but remember to always tilt your tube over and slide the cubes in rather than dropping them in.

Are you talking about in OP s case or real ice cubes too?

I've never done it, I've always just dropped them in.
I suppose tilting the bong can only help preserving the ice pinch.

What is a rush in this context?

It's a substance that dries into a hard resin and is good for glueing glass.
