Homemade Pipes- Is this clay safe.

    I have Activa Plus Natural self hardening clay. It says it can be kiln fired but doesnt require it. Could I smoke it without firing it? Is it safe?

    do a lighter test and if nothing nasty comes off of it it is probably safe.

    I would glaze it and put it in the kiln just to make sure
