Hi guys, Had some high temps last night when I was out and the tops of two of my main colas (SCROG) appear to be singed. The top few hairs are browned, and feel dry / crispy to the touch while the rest of the buds feel fine. The plants are only 2 weeks into flowering, with another 10 weeks left according to the breeder. How will this affect me? Is there anything I should do? What now? Pictures... Thanks for your help! I must admit it looks a lot worse in the pictures than it does in real life. I also have another problem, one of the main thickest colas does not seem to be flowering at all. There are no pistils coming from it, no bud at all, while the rest of the plant is flowering away. What should I do about this? Trim the branch with no flowers? Bare in mind its day 16 of flowering and the rest of the plant is taking off and well into forming buds now.
ouch. idk, i think you just have to let it continue to grow like that, it will probably end up deformed. that other cola not flowering fully, maybe its not getting sufficient light. colas without enough light dont transform nearly as fast, just like the ones under your canopy they stay small and pretty undeveloped.
Its gutting really, these had something like a 5 week veg and its horrible to just burn them like that! Regarding the other cola, thats what I thought originally as it is near the edge of my tent, however ive got a few little popcorn buds that missed my trim which have hairs all over them and they are pretty much in the dark underneath a really dense canopy. Its really strange because the whole branch shows no sign of flowering. Thanks for your input man, I appreciate it.
yeah that sucks, i would be pissed! I hate when a mistake you could have prevented occurs. Idk just keep watching the cola I suppose. maybe try to get a side light on it or bend some limbs to let some extra light pass directly to it.
