Obama to increase minimum wage to 9 dollars.

  1. The minimum wage thing is a perfect indicator of whether some one has any knowledge on economics or not. And it always gives a good laugh.

  2. Same with the subject of money. Anyone who says money is any kind of problem is totally ignorant of basic economics. Yet no matter how ignorant people are it doesn't stop them from having an opinion.

  3. Are you kidding me? I would think there would think there would be more empathy in a grass forum. Number one, I became a certified pharmacy technician in May of last year and I've still yet to find openings with no experience and a bad economy those older are instantly more qualified. However seeing as I learned what I have about drugs I'm constantly in debate about the morality of my choice. These "doctors" that some of you are holding in such high esteem are actually poisoning you to advance an elite agenda. The ones at the top are LEAST deserving of any compensation. This makes me sick to my stomach to see some of these posts. You cannot classify a human beings worth by what they do in the system. Those working to live a moral life and attempt to free others and this society are always repressed. I can't believe this, I don't even post on internet forums but to see this... some of you need some more green liberation. The city is a controlled life, freedom is a myth. The ONLY thing that matters is infinite love. Also keeping in mind we have a CENTRAL BANKING SYSTEM. KEEP RUNNING AROUND IN CIRCLES ABOUT TALK OF THE ECONOMY. How can you be blind as to see it doesn't matter. A system based of debt is DEBT. Wake up, free your mind to infinite consciousness. If those at minimum wage can get a break so be it. Because the system takes from those who work hard for jobs this economy doesn't produce. Hate is sickening.

  4. Ummmmmmm what?

This thread is about increasing minimum wage bro

Also your post is wrong even if it was related to the topic.

Most of us are empethetic which is why we hold our political ideals so strongly.

I'm a capitalist but I don't think starving African children is a good thing. I just argue that capitalism is not to blame.

    Socialists aren't evil just wrong.

No one is lacking empathy here...

And all the big pharmacy stuff. Most blades are already anti pharmacy

    And further more...

O wait. 1 post. Obvious spam

  5. I'll just leave one of my old posts here:

  6. ^^ My advise would be to get a different accountant.

  7. Who the hell is saying that retail workers and fast food workers should be earning 80k a year? At the very least all workers deserve a living wage.

  8. Living wage is directly.proportional.to minimum wage

  9. Outlawing Jobs by Murray N. Rothbard

  10. Not all people in the workforce are trying to make a living off their minimum wage job. Teenagers, college students, and retirees looking to fill free time as example.

  11. If King Obama increases the Min wage all it will do is force merchants to raise their prices and past the costs on to the people anyway . So in essence there will be no more income then there was before,
Its called inflation, We need to gothe other way.
    But hey thats my opinion.

  12. This doesn't happen. This seems to be the most widespread economic myth I've ever seen. Monetary inflation devalues currency, wages don't. Without monetary inflation no minimum wage, no matter how high, would increase the cost of living. Effective minimum wage laws cause unemployment and nothing else. The minimum wage only increases after a period of monetary inflation brings the value of the Dollar down to such an extent that the increase in wages didn't equal a real increase, only a nominal one. There have been very few, if any, real increases in minimum wage since its inception.

  14. Hopefully the cost of drugs doesn't go up.

Then I only have to work for ~2 hours to gett my weed instead of ~3

    :hello:

  15. Its funny how so many people refer to Obama as "King Obama", and act like no other president as ever passed executive orders.

But anyway all these assumptions are getting old. So wages go up, then business raise costs to make up lost revenue, acting like their not making enough money already.

Or here let me make some more assumptions.

Wages go up, small business takes a hit, but then more people start spending and the market thrives.

Do people not understand the insane increases in profit that have been made over the past 20-30 years by big business and the investment class? All while wages have remained stagnant, while the quality of work has nearly doubled in America.

Hes our current king, maybe thats why?

Are you upset that we arent going out of our way to call the other presidents king? Seems like an odd thing to pick at.

You're only looking at the BIG CORPORATE picture. You're not even thinking about the real value of america, all the small businesses.

  17. A king is not offered the same respect of being a President.

  18. Well I mentioned small business as well as big, so read my post again.

And Obama isn't our king. If you want to label him such, well that your dilemma. The rest wont tag along.

And no I'm not upset about anything. A little at the hostile/troll reply you gave me, but I'm not that naive to fall for it. So keep trying.

  19. It's funny that if someone doesn't like Obama it's assumed that it's only because he's Obama, and they have nothing bad to say about any past presidents. Obama is the current president and so gets talked about a lot because of that, get over it.

No one is assuming anything except you. Effective minimum wage laws cause unemployment. This is backed up by both history and sound economic reasoning and theory. Your assertion has no history or sound theory behind it.

Stagnant wages are a result of lower productivity (see: loss of manufacturing jobs and declining capital investment), heavy inflation (this reduces wages to the middle class, always, throughout all of history), and a destructive government whose monetary policy has moved manufacturing elsewhere while propping up a consumer culture based on debt. You can't legislate prosperity, it's literally impossible.

  20. Ah well let me be more clear since sarcasm seems to create silly arguments. :p

He is our current "king". You're obviously standing up for Obama when you ask why we dont call everyone else names instead of just Obama. My response was that he is our current "king". You know, in the way you already originally knew it was sarcasm? Yeah. Clearly you wouldnt bring it up if it didnt bother you.

"Wages go up, small business takes a hit, but then more people start spending and the market thrives"

How do you come to this conclusion, you know, instead of just saying it and expecting it to mean something?

More people are spending.... but they have to spend more money. How do you get "more" people spending? Does the numbers of people employed magically increase or are you saying that we will have more money to spend?
