A few questions....

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by tanner420, Sep 5, 2006.

  1. 1. What nutrients are needed for the growth of a plant? like what do each of the elements in 0-0-0 mean?

    2. When should i use each of the nutrients and how much of each?

    3. How useful is epsom salt and when and how much should i use?

    4. What types of animal shit should i use? would horse manure be good or bad?

Sorry for not using the search function on some of these. I thought i would just get them all out of the way in one thread. Thank You. :smoke:

  2. N-P-K, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The major elements in plant nutrition. There are a whole load of trace elements.

How often and how much? Read the packet, doses vary.

Read my thread on Mg and Epsom salts.

I use a peat based compost that has horse shit added. But here there is not a wide variety of soils available.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

  3. thanks for the reply spanish fly,

now that i got that out of the way,

i have heard that during flowering i want to give it extra p, am i correct?

also what would be some common ways to give a plant the n-p-k nutrients without buying them? like what would be common around a house that would be useful?
i realize that nothing would be as good as store bought products. i hae heard that diluted urine would provide some nitrogen, is this a good source?

    thank you:smoking:

  4. During flowering you need to give a fert where P and K are both higher than N.

Just buy some fert for fruiting tomatoes. That will do the job.
