Outdoor organic pesticides

  1. I hate the fact might have to use pesticides on my lovely ladies, but threat is always there. Also, I refuse to love them to critters either. so I was wondering what was the best pesticide to use that if organic. I heard neem oil was I very good one but I wanted to double check. What do you guys use and why?

thanks grasscity, you guys are the best.

  2. Personally I would not use neem in flower. The oil gets caught up in the buds and imparts a ... flavor... I used edr doom pyrethrins spray. It is super effective and the pyrethrins break down in 2 weeks to inert ingredients. The pyrethrins are derived from chrysanthemums (the flower). I also used mighty wash/power wash when I just had mites. My outdoor got slammed before I got the pyrethrins spray

  3. What about in prep, say if laced the soil with it starting few weeks in veg. So in flower they kinda have an "immunity" to them during flower. It also would allow the pesticides to flush out near harvest. Or is that just wishful thinking.

  4. In veg, I have used a solulable neem solution. I used straight neem oil mixed with water and destroyed some girls. The solulable drench is good a thwarting root gnats, but it only transfers a small amount of immunity to the girls. It does make them more resistant, but is not proof against infestation. This is just my small amount pod experience. Im sure some other blades out there will tell of different experiences. Please weight in, other blades ... :hippie: :bongin:

  5. I use Azamax its a soil drencher and spray I used in veg and flower. All organic and some organocide. I could see the difference my buddy didn't use any thing for a while I started early. And he got attack by caterpillars horrible and spider mites and white flies. While I've had limited to no bug problems. My problem was I had a palm tree. Which has nifts which are annoying but I got rid of them and also moved. But id recommend using something while they are you just use low doses and build em up. Get it in the blood and soil.

I would go "old-fashioned" and use an insecticdal soap! Kills by smothering the bugs and is easily rinsed off the next day with plain old water! The bugs CAN'T become resistant to it, and any run-off is changed into nutes for your plants by the soil bacteria! No poisonous residues in your soil or on your buds!

A 4 ounce bottle of Dr Bronner's peppermint (or eucalyptus, tea tree or lavender) Soap will set you back less than $5. It is safe to use in bud. And it really is an excellent soap (it's all I ever use on my face)!
