Hash Oil E-Cig and Vapor Rod

  1. I used to be really into E-Cigs, made a bunch of mods, and from my leftover parts i'm making a Hash Oil E-Cig Vape, and a Vapor Rod.

    E-Cig:
I just removed the bridge and wick from the atomizer, and replaced the U clip, so it will hold a drop or two clinging to the inside above the coil.

Its an eGo battery, 510 Stainless Steel atomizer, and a 510 hybrid tank tip with the tank removed and level view slits taped over.

    Vapor Rod:
The vapor rod is a work in progress. I still have to buy the guts, but i have the frame assembled.

The frame consists of a Sparkplug Long Tube (threaded e-cig mod tube), a 3/4" copper end cap, a 3/4"-1/2" Copper Reducer, a, eGo Cone Tip, heatproof silicone 3/4" wide self-adhesive strip, and black 1/2" electrical tape.

It will feature a 220v 50w ceramic heating element, and aluminum switch case with an on/off switch, and a dimmer style switch to control voltage/temp, and a foot pedal for the actual vape rod control. Or a momentary switch. Thats one of the things I need opinions on, footswitch or switch on the unit. Only problem is its hard to find a 220v switch to fit in the unit. And itll be stepped down to 110v for US use.
Total cost will be about $50

  2. $50 either way? I'd go with the foot switch, as you've said finding a switch to fit the unit seems more difficult. Unless you want it to be more portable, but then again when you say foot switch, I think of guitar pedals for some reason.

  3. I ended up scoring a Phedor for like 7 bucks, so thats better than I could build. My new goal on it is to make it cordless, battery powered. That tube fits alot of popular Li-Ion batteries, and 2000mAh ones too, so hopefully itd have decent life. Idk what one of those ceramic rods draws though, so who knows. You dont see battery powered soldering irons...
