This today is day 9 after planting in the system. Lowered lights one was stretching. Added extra hydroton to make it stands up and added an occilating fan in. just straight water right now. Next tues i will start nutes if they are ready. I will be ruining a gh lineup.

 

So today i started nutrients. 1/16 strength lucas formula, floralicious +, flora blend, diamond nectar, flora nectar, superthrive. Ppm below 700. Res temp below 80 with help from frozen water containers. Feed set up for 3 times a day 15 min flood. I added 5 shot glasses full of epsom salts. 45 gallon res btw. I am using tap water.








This is the runt of the litter. Deformed leaves and minimal growth. Theaves are green, lush, and stalk is strong. Any info would be appreciated.

im excited to see them get bigger. Nirvana does pretty well 14/14 seeds popped 13/14 sprouted. I am going to be interested in how 3 strains react to one feeding arrangement.

Just a pic update.

Humidifier bottom left. Room stays around %40 RH. I would like our to be higher but for some reason humidifier is not working well. I think i have to replace the wicks


Plastic tote is actually covering the sink there. It was a pain in the ass first finding activated carbon in a large amount for a decent price. Then washing the carbon and then pouring it into the thing. I did order a microbe nesh bag off Amazon and that makes washing carbon and hydroton WAY easier... But it's still a bitch.

It is definitely an amazing system and fairly easy to set up, however time consuming. No leaks its just genius. I have successfully kept the water between 70 to 80 room temp is staying around 85 tomorrow i will be changing res and.increasing.from 1/16 strength to 1/4 strength. See how the girls react.

Be on the look out for a soil grow journal i will be starting soon. Drip feed setup. 4 plants in veg and 4 in flower. Harvest every two months. Everything is.ordered and im super pumped. Its in a different location than this grow.

 

Here is an update from today. I increased the nutes to 1/8 strength since it was 1/16 before. Give it a week and ill increase to 1/4 strength if the girls respond well. I hooked up a y valve that allows me to switch to a waste line and down a bath tub drain. This makes draining the Res super easy then refill from hose connected to shower head. I zip tied some tube connections, i was seeing minor leaks in the controller and res. The ppm level still below 700. Solution temperature between 70 and 80. Room temp 80 to 85humidity at 40%. Id like humidity higher but humidifier doesn't want to put out.

Hey GC,
Another update from yesterday. Ppms are decreasing so next wed I'm upping to 1/4 strength nutes. They are doing great outside some leaf tip curling which i believe as heat stress. I don't know what i can do about it. Room is @ 85, humidity between 40 and 50%. Lights are around 30" from the plants tops. Fans are constant. Portible ac units are out because there are no windows and last time i tried joining a port ac exhaust to my current exhaust the ac unit would over heat, not enough air flow. So idk. Here are some pics...

 

Some trimming and possibly LST To utilize space better. But i don't plan on topping or super cropping.

Wednesday I'm increasing nutrients to 1/4 strength. Better photos then.

I raised the lights. Changed res out. Increased nutes to 1/4 strength. If the plants react well then next wed will increase to 1/2 strength.. Everything is doing well except for some leaf tips curling. Here are some pics...
