stale weed?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by biorobotics, Jun 27, 2012.

  1. my weed seems to be a bit stale, almost dried out. why? and does this effect its potency at all?

  2. It's a flower cut from it's mother plant, so yes it will dry and whither. That does effect it's potency, but if it's just a little dry then it's still good to smoke. Storing your weed in a masonry jar away from bright light and extreme temperature will help prevent early degradation.

  3. It probably dried out from not being kept in an airtight space.
The only way it affects potency is now that it's more dry and less sticky, the trichomes wont stick to the bud as well and more will fall off when being handled and broken up for consumption.
Get a baby food jar to prevent any future happenings like this.

Edit: or a mason jar, if your stash is big enough.

  4. I thought generally the drier the better or I think it is. Shouldn't effect potency or flavor or anything unless its just been left on the side gathering dust not in a bag or anything.
