How much oil/hash for topical use.

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Bongsauce, Jun 5, 2012.

  1. Hi.

I've read through several thread on oils and concentrates but I could only find ratios on ingestion or smokable tinctures. I'm trying to figure out how much ISO or dry sift I should add to coconut oil or a similar based cream for topical application for rashes and skin issues. All I can find are really vague guidelines for ratios and can't locae any solid ratios for what would be adequate for topical use...logically, it shouldn't need to be near as potent as a smokeable or edible tincture.

I know it's going to depend on the potency of my hash or w/e ,... but seriously, can somebody just throw me a ratio to start working with please?

I have read through badkat's stuff and run several searches...I'm just looking for a baseline ratio to start with plz. I was planning on making a small batch to start..about 8oz of 'cream' . I've made a tiny batch on the fly with a few drops of iso and a bit of coconut oil and it's working great for poison ivy and mosquito bites n stuff...but I need more! :D

    thanks.
