  1. hi all, check out the photos and let me know what you think.

    my thoughts, maybe iron deficiency??

i am out of litmus paper, so not sure about soil pH....perhaps the iron is bound up.

the raised bed has 6 plants in it, but only 2 show this problem....those 2 are the same strain....perhaps a weak strain?

it has been a VERY stressful 2 weeks outdoors, so the problem may resolve itself as the plants finally get some sunlight and quit getting hailed on!!!

  2. They look pretty good to me, maybe a little curling/yellow, but like you said it may be the strain or stress related. Leaves don't look pale indicating iron problem.

To put your fears at ease, testing the ph is probably a good idea. I just got a ph meter for $12 bucks including shipping through amazon looks and works just like the milwaukee ph-600.

  3. My guess is an acidic pH causing nutrient lockout problems. Give it a check and try to get it around 6.5-6.8

  4. ok, just ordered some litmus from china. should arrive soon.

thanks for the input, i will let you know what the pH reads when the papers arrive.
