On Friday around 5pm I ate 3/4s of a pot brownie. I proceeded to experience the most amazing high the first day.

However, I woke up (around 8 am) feeling normal Saturday until around 1 PM as I was eating lunch it hit me and I felt high again. Everything felt slowed down, I felt like I was walking in a different dimension every few minutes.

On Sunday, I woke up feeling high after getting very little sleep (ECVs made it tough for me to fall asleep and I could not get my mind to STFU). I felt the same way most of the day as I did on Saturday.

Now it is Monday and I have woken up feeling the same delay. I think my body is not metabolizing it well, but I wanted to know the answer to some n00b questions: if the effects of the high can be permanent and how long could they last at the maximum? How long will it take for me to feel normal again? Also, would it be harmful for me to take a prescription sleeping pill to get to sleep or would that synergize the high?

I have a medical school interview tomorrow, and I need to know if I should move it or not...I appreciate any insight everyone.

  2. Hows your tolerance man?

Sounds like the time when I first got high from smoking, but obviously not as long, but did last until the next afternoon. Kind of a weird feeling when you wake up stoned right?

How long have you been smoking/eating bud?

  3. I've been smoking once or twice a week for two or three months. The closest thing to this experience is once when I took like 4-5 hits of some California Kush. I woke up feeling normal the next day and the high hit me in the late afternoon, but went away by the time I woke up the next day.

This hasn't yet begun to go away, I don't feel like I'm coming down from it. Is a permanent high/delay effects ever possible? I am very scared...

  4. The first time I smoked GOOD weed when I first started smoking I felt not really stoned, but like in a permanent haze the next day.

Its probably your metabolism, and edibles will definitely fuck you the hell up. I would drink a shit load of water to start with, hopefully someone else has a better idea.

  5. not sure on this one....I personally have never felt high once the initial high wore off.....longest high was no more than 5 hours. Try not smoking for a while and see if anything changes...
dont worry too much....unless there was something else in the bud, its only weed after all....

  6. I'm sorry but I'm going to call shenanigans on this one. 65 hours later is impossible.

  7. I am not saying it's necessarily a high, but I feel like I am dissociated from reality a bit like I am in a different place every time I move...and then if I move some part of my body I perceive it to numbly move like 3-4 times.

  8. This cannot be from the weed. You would have digested that brownie already. At least the digestion part that makes you high would have been finished.

  9. at least tell me realistically how long would it take for the symptoms to go away? :/

    is it ever permanent?

  10. Youre just in a haze from taking in so much thc. Just get some good rest and take a 5 hour energy when you wake up

  11. Is it reasonable for me to take prescription-strength sleeping pills to get to sleep and avoid damaging my nervous system in any way? If in fact there should not be that much THC left?

  12. I'm not able to give medical advice. I'm out.

  13. I'm kinda jealous in a way. I'd kill for a 65 hour buzz from a brownie.

Chances are you're body just isn't used to it. I would re-schedule if you don't think you can handle it.

  14. This happened to me the fourth time I ever smoked. I took around 3 or 4 bong rips. Next day I had that hazy feeling lik I wasn't awake. I felt trapped. Like I wasn't supposed to be here. It was just temporary. Every movement felt slow and pointless. I was scared yet relieved. I tried ignoring it and eventually it went away. I kinda miss it and continue to smoke to see if I get there again.

  15. any idea how long it took to go away?

but it's good to know that it was just temporary. i think i'm going to stay away from edibles for a while until i build up tolerance with smoking

  16. Brownies don't keep re-peaking like certain unmentionables do; you are not high anymore my friend, especially if you ate it Friday.

At this point you be trolling.

Sorry but if you have nothing productive to add,
    dont post..

  18. I just don't know what I would get out of trolling/making this a laughing matter. I will accept that I am not high, but why do I feel like I am outside of my body and as if my sensations are delayed? Is this like a weed hangover? Is that also why I can't fall asleep?

  20. Okay, honestly you need to stop being a dick to this guy. I've had this feeling that he is experiencing right now but mine only lasted the day after. Now for the OP, what I did was drink a lot of water and other liquids, ate lots of healthy food and a solid hour or two before I usually fall asleep I went to the store and bought one of those Bob Marley Mellow Mood drinks and I passed the hell out and I felt fine the next day. But once again that is what only worked from me.
