URGENT PLEASE HELP BONG

    The title sounds a bit drastic but I'm pretty sad. I have an acrylic bong. Before you say anything, yes I do have a mini glass bong. When I do smoke from a bong, 90% of the time smoke from the glass one. The acrylic is VERY special to me. It was my brothers who passed away when he was about 17 or 18. He didn't leave much stuff since he gave it away. The only few things I have is a CD, T shirt, and this bong. I keep it in a very spceial place so I don't have to look at it a lot, but it's very comferting to know I have it. Well, I was pulling it out today to just look at it and it was all cloudy and some clearn crap was on the inside. I could scratch it off with my finger nail but the bubble base was pretty cloudy too. I have never cleaned this with rubbing alcohol or burned it. I have only cleaned it with soap and warm water. Is this just soap that dried on the inside or something else? If so, if I just wash it again will it be ok to smoke out of? Thanks.

    I would wash it with alcohol firstJust so you don't inhale any fumes or anything from that stuff. Probably dried soap inside Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

    I don't know if you should use iso on this like you would on regular glass bongs guys, I've heard people say they can taste residual alcohol from using it on acrylic bongs after cleaning it, even after washing it out for a long time. 
     
    Also, one time I decided to clean my pyrex plastic vape whip out with iso and even after washing it out for a hell of a long time, I could still taste alcohol for a few hits whilst vaping.

    Use vinegar on acrylic ISO on glass. ISO will cause crazing on acrylic. White vinegar and some baking soda to make a runny paste. Pour it in with some water and shake shake shake, shake shake shake your booty, shake your booty.... Seriously, alcohol will ruin it!

    isopropyl alcohol will basically melt your acrylic piece. DO NOT USE ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL TO CLEAN ACRYLIC. I used nail polish remover on my acrylic piece and it was fine. just make sure you rinse it out really well. i thought i rinsed mine out but you could taste the nail polish remover in the hits.

    just clean it out with some hot water and scrub it really good you can use soap again but after your done i would take a blow dryer to dry it completely out.

    Soak in warm water and vinegar. Then rinse with water. Should do the trick, sorry for your loss man. Good for you smokin that bong, it's like you get to have a memory with him every time.

    IF YOU USE ANY KIND OF ALCOHOL ON ANY KIND OF PLASTIC BONG IT WILL DISINTEGRATE AND CRACK LIKE A BROKEN DAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
     
    I know from personal experience.  I drove all the way to fucking LA to get this big red plastic bong and then only for it to crack and spill its guts after pouring some kind of rubbing alcohol into it.  I can still picture it cracking and all the alcohol flowing out of it.
