lift the outer casing from the insides thing (grip but butt of it and pull up with the rest) then use a knife or something to lift up the cotton thing at the bottom, squirt in fluid, then out the cotton thing back then the outside thing

 

As long as you don't overfill it, not much can go wrong.


\tSteps:
1. \tMake sure the lighter is cool.

2. \tFlip open the lighter's top.

3. \tGrasp the flint wheel (the area where the flame appears) with two fingers.

4. \tHold the narrower sides of the case with the other hand.

5. \tSlide the inner case out of the outside case. There's a felt pad inside of this case.

6. \tTurn the inner case over so that the felt pad is facing up.

7. \tSaturate the pad with lighter fluid, but not to the point of dripping.

8. \tKeep the lighter inverted and put the inside case back into the outside case.

9. \tMake sure the small trigger on the top faces toward the hinge in the bottom.

10. \tFlip the lighter closed.

11. \tTest the lighter. It may take a few tries.


\tTips:
\tDry the lighter and wash your hands before lighting it.

By the way dude, a zippo will give you a lighter fuel taste when you hit a bowl. At least, that's been my experience.

 

Oh yeah just to let you know now so you don't have to go through the hassle in the future, that brass screw on the bottom is your flint refill, just unscrew it and don't lose the screw or the spring, it may pop out. Peace
