Alright guys. Temps are finally under control, I had to put a small air conditioner right where the intake is. Luckily the lights turn on at night so I can have that air conditioner on the floor and in the morning I put it back on the window and go to work.

Yup, its a hassle but once I harvest this, I'll try taking the ballast out and hook up a fan and duct just for the HPS.

Plants are loving the light, Cindy has grown a lot, she was touching the glass already. I have tied both of them down in order for the tops to not get burnt. I just crossed them over to the opposite side.

The NL plant hasn't grown that much, but every node has some nice flowers.

I took some clones (4) from Cindy today, I know once they're in flower it will take a relative long time for them to re-veg. I didn't have any clone gel or powder, but I did it anyways. Hopefully one of the 4 clones will root and become a mother, if not I'll just toss them out and buy some more seeds.

I also put 4 NL seeds to germ for the next grow.

Ok, here are some crappy pics. :D (edit: I just put a dome on the clone in case u guys were wondering)

  2. OK, 1 clone is completely dead, 2 don't look so good and 1 looks ok. Hopefully 1 of these clones becomes my C99 mother.

All 4 seeds have germed, they have all been planted into party cups. (I will start a new thread on this grow.)

  3. All the clones are dead. LOL :D

I guess I will need to buy some C99 seeds.

All 4 NL seeds have sprouted yesterday. They are under 4 - 30w CFLs, they're looking good. I was thinking of making another thread for the next batch, but I'll post it here instead.

My plan for the next 4 NL seeds is to veg them for 2 weeks then stick them in the flowering box, I will be using 2 liter soda bottles, in order for them to fit in the flower box and basically I'll be trying to grow just a main cola.

The current NL hasn't had any side shoots, it's just 1 stem, and it was vegged for 4 weeks. It hasn't grown as much since I put the HPS, but I do notice the stem getting thicker, very thick. Hopefully the buds will be dense. C99 is growing like crazy, I gotta tie that bish down again tonight.:smoke:

I wanna sample the NL buds, they're already covered in resin and looking fat.:yummy: I'll get my dad's camera and post some bud porn.

    Alright time for an update.

5 weeks in veg. I stopped including SuperThrive in my watering. I'm only using Bloom and ProTek (DynaGro brand) every other watering, and I water like every 2-3 days.

Buds are looking nice, no idea on trichomes.

Cindy grew a lot after installing the HPS, unfortunately she has smaller bud sites. As you can see the NL is looking "very nice" (borat voice)

Here are some pics with my brand spanking new camera. (finally! i know :D)

Oh, although all 4 seeds sprouted, one of them shriveled up and died. So now I only have 3 new plants, I think the yellowing on one of the plants is the SuperThrive, I stopped using it and the other plants haven't developed any yellowing.

  5. Lookin good me....like the new light. The buds look dense as hell. Im really thinking bout gettin a 150 or 250hps. But if your havin probs w/ temps then ill prob just try the 150hps. Whered u get it? How much?

Your plants r really sproutin. How much longer til harvest? Dont pinch...ha ha....i know your thinkin bout it...holla

  6. Thanks. I really hope I have a great harvest.

I got my 150hps from ebay. The only thing I don't like about the light is the small reflector, even for my closet, and the fact that the ballast is not external, but I'll just take the ballast out for the next 3 'ladies'.

I think maybe 3 more weeks 'till harvest.:smoke:

    Take care.

  7. Just wanted to post some bud pictures.

    This is the C99.

  8. Lookin good dude, Im subbed. I have a grow goin, with some bagseed from supposed "juicy fruit". My biggest one just showed it's sex last night as a female so I'm happy. I'm totally jealous your budding already. I have to build a new home for mine this weekend, then I'm gonna flower. I'll be watching your grow man, nice. +rep

  9. Thanks mang.

This pic is from the NL. Do you guys think it's ready for harvest?

  10. Looks like it's just getting started to me, I'd let it keep growin for awhile myself.

Today I bought some PH tester solution, took out the plants from the grow box, took some pictures and ran some tests.

I tested NorthernLight's runoff water, using water ph'd at 7.0. Runoff came at 6.4-6.6. I also tested the PH of the bottled water I'm using and it came at 6.0. So it seems I have lowered my soil's ph and thus resulting in nutrient lockout, plus the fact that I watered them heavily with no nutes for about 2 weeks straight.

As you can from the pictures below. The C99 plant looks very unhealthy, I feel like harvesting it before losing more of it's leaves. You can see the dark patches have reached the small leaves surrounding the buds.

Should I harvest her now, before it's too late?

All these pics are from C99.

  12. And here are some NL pics.

  13. Not so sure about the c99 but since your close to harvest already id say to cut the burnt/dried leaves, restart applying nutes to plant, and try to make sure it gets back to being healthy. Honestly im kinda new and not to sure but wait for someone else whose more knowledgeable.

  14. Tonight I harvest C99. I'm gonna try to keep NL alive for 1 more week, I really want the couch lock, so I"ll keep at it and see if the NL plant gets better.

Alright, tonight I'll upload some pics of finished product plus wet weight for C99.

I harvested the C99 because I thought I was gonna loose more by waiting to see if the plant got healthier. I 1st sampled some and it was bomb! :smoking:

So I decided to wait one more day. I came home today and some more leaves were turning brown with brown/grey dots. So I harvested her and here's the pics. I don't have a scale so I dunno how much weight there is, but by the time they're dried I should have a *calculator (lol I was high) scale to final-weight it.

*That was what I first wrote when I was high, lol

  16. Hey if it starts to show on the other plant its probably mold/fungi. Otherwise looks like the salvage was worth it nice. Probably close to an oz dry from the c99 alone.

  17. pH was fine. not locked out, just verry hungry. did right by cutting them as its to late to save anything so may as well move on to next run.

  18. Alright, second grow is ready. I didn't pay too much attention to them. I flowered them in 2 liter soda pots. I didn't even put tape around the bottle to prevent algae, but I didn't algae nor mold. GA was right they were just starving, this 2nd batch had the exact same symptoms and I know I have underfed them.

I don't even know how long they have, all I know is that they sprouted on 04/01 and went to flower after 2 weeks.

Here's some pics to prove that anyone can grow this stuff without even caring too much. I once left them 3 days with no AC in the summer with the 150 hps while I went to the pool, came back and the recorded highest temp was 101F. :D
