I need some movies that fuck with your head for my halloween evening. I hate gore and I have a short attention span. I'm not much of a movie buff so I haven't really seen many.. I know this is a majority male site but +rep for good movies with sexy guys in the cast. Annnd go!
Session 9, Dead End, Identity, Pontypool, 1408, The Fog, In The Mouth of Madness Though if you've got a short attention span I wouldn't suggest any of them. Getting blazed should fix that though. Event Horizon is pretty great too, because you're never really sure what you're seeing. Good example of gore being used well, because it's actually horrific instead of just being gory for the sake of being gory (the reason why I can't get into Saw/Hostel type films).

Thanks. We made this list earlier today based on trailers and descriptions Slient house The final 9 dead The woman in black Rosewood lane Anyone seen any of these new movies? Thoughts?
Hmm, I'll have to check some of these out. I personally enjoy foreign horror films. Some of these include "Three Extremes" (an oriental horror that has 3 mini stories within it--the third is possibly the least scary and has more of an ethereal, dreamy feeling), Pan's Labyrinth (this is more of a fantasy film than anything, but definitely has its creepy moments with certain creatures), Repo! The Genetic Opera (somewhat of a "comic"-like musical that integrates horror and gore), Eyes Without a Face (an old black and white horror film which isn't that scary but somewhat beautiful, imo), Battle Royale (a Japanese horror which isn't among the scariest but somewhat amusing--a bunch of high school kids have to kill each other off for survival, similar to Lord of the Flies in some ways). I also love 28 Days Later. Generally, I've found some really creepy Japanese horrors simply by googling which ones people would consider the scariest (although the repetitive use of ghosts gets a bit old). I haven't checked out a few of the movies that were posted earlier, though; going to need to do that when I get a few hours in the next week and a few hits
1. Silence of the Lambs 2. The Shining 3. A Clockwork Orange 4. Fight Club- not really creepy but it's still ridic. 5. Black Swan
