Your political compass

  1. Economic Left/Right: -3.00
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.18

A little more left than I actually consider myself.

  2. That's crap.

How is Neo-liberalism the polar opposite of Communism? Shouldn't the opposite of communism support free-markets?

It should be economic/political left-right as fascicm/communism vs anarchism
    social top-bottom conservative vs liberal

IMO, social issues shouldn't even be included on a "political" compass.

  3. i cant do the test

    the questions are too confusing

They provide a good analysis: http://www.politicalcompass.org/analysis2

  6. I'm right between the Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela! Yea, baby!

And I'm the opposite of Bush, so that's definitely a plus.

First off, I want to say that I just about hate everything about that questionnaire.

But since I wasted my time on it...

    Economic Left/Right: 3.25
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.44

I feel it forced me into being more liberal and authoritarian than I really am... but at least it got the right quadrant.

"Abstract art that doesn't represent anything shouldn't be considered art at all."

That statement is the essence of this "Compass"... lame. Seriously, wtf!?

  8. haha, yea some stupid questions in there.

    Economic Left/Right: 3.88
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.28

  9. For all you people on the left side of the economic spectrum;

In a free-market, who better serves the interest of consumers, the government or the corporation?

    ...

Who has more power over the government, the consumer or the corporation?

    :smoking:

  10. Yes some of the questions were unnecessary but it was the best version I could find online, and at least it gave a pretty fair end result (IMO).

http://www.theadvocates.org/quizp/index.html That one is a bit shorter but not advanced enough

  11. You assume that us lefties idealize the same definition of free market as you think we do, that's your problem. ;)

  12. Psssst, the graph is crap! don't take it so seriously! jk

And don't be dissin my graph position, righty!:D

  13. left libertarian [IMG]

  14. I never said you had a problem, I was just asking for your opinion.

Based on the questionnaire I assumed you answered corporations need regulation and oversight from the government. But I'll hold back on the discussion for another time...

  17. I know you didn't, I said YOU have a problem.

And the problem (as long as we're talking about them) with assumptions is that they make an ass out of you and I!
