Hi. i have decided to grow a plant or two inside for the first time. I was hoping you guys could tell me what i need to buy for my small indo grow, from soil to lights etc i have nothing now. thanks guys for any help
I am doing that, but i just wanted some personal opinions from experienced growers on there preference of light, soil, ferts, etc.
I'm a first time grower and my grow is coming along very well. I would recommend getting 5 gallon pots for each plant you plan on growing, and filling them with fox farm ocean forest. Then getting a 400watt hps/mh ballast and light setup. Also make sure you have an oscillating fan and I would go with the fox farm trio for nutes. You can debate everything all day and in no way is what I told you proven to work the best or anything but it's just my opinion. It's been working great for me so hopefully this can give you some guidance.
Yep I agree with the above post and ph up and ph down general hydroponics makes a kit for that ph is very important also they make a part A and B food that replaced the floranova grow and bloom and they split the micro into both great stud fox farms has good stuff but its IMO not the best
400w HID would be overkill for 1-2 plants. And, you need actual ventilation. My overriding advice is to do it right the first time. Too many new growers slap together an under-performing grow setup, only to realize how much their yield suffered from it, and so they upgrade in the future. That means you end up buying everything twice. It's actually cheaper to do it up right the first time.

I've seen wonderful results with a 400watt for two plants, obviously you can go with a lower wattage but I don't think the extra wattage hurts at all.
Nope the more the better as long as you can exit the heat off the light I have a 1000 for 8 plants its over kill but why not my temp is 76 24 7 and my nugs are fat and thick
