I wanted to see what every blade's personal GOTY would be (so far), for 2014. Personally I want to say my GOTY is/will be Dragon Age Inquisition. I've only played a mere 4 hours of it so far, but in the little time I've played the game, I've grown to enjoy it more than any of the other recent games that have come out on the current gen consoles and PC. I've found that most other recent releases have either been buggy, had multiplayer issues, or were a mere letdown from all the hype surrounding it pre-release (ex. Destiny).
It's been a backlog year for me and loads of mediocrity and let downs (watchdogs comes to mind). My favourites of this year have been; - south park: stick of truth (ps3) - destiny (ps4) - mario kart (wiiu)
Well the only new games this year I've played is stick of truth and dark souls 2. I think ds2 will at least be nominated but it will proboly end up going to destiny. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Easily far cry 4, if you havent purchased it yet i suggest you do so... Probably one of the best games ive played in general.. Sent from my LG-D801 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Far Cry 4 doesn't disappoint with its wonderful artistic style and gameplay. Should definitely be considered. Only disappointing thing I think is the map editor mechanics. It's still too early to tell. I'll be playing both Dragon Age and Shadow of Mordor soon. IMO good single player RPGs should win every year. Destiny may be fun for some but the story and longevity doesn't hold up unless you like grinding for very specific items (which is where the rng loot system falls to the rng loot system of, say, Diablo.) The Stick of Truth was hilarious and purely South Park and offered an achievement hunters dream game. Should also be in the mix.
I'm not sure I thought it was this year I could b wrong. But if not that with the games I got recently I would say evil within
