Many bands hear a great tune they love, and decide to remake it in their own way. So this thread is just to discuss your favorite cover songs that you like better than the original, or the complete opposite, songs that butchered the original version... For example.... *I loved Jimi Hendrix's version of 'All Along the Watchtower' over Bob Dylans *Loved Manfred Manns version of 'Blinded by the Light' way better than Bruce Springsteens *Liked Joe Cockers version of "With a little help from my friends' over the Beatles version *Didnt like David Bowie's version of "See Emily Play' over Pink Floyds you get the picture..... so what are some good/ or bad remakes that you guys think of?
Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" is still great, though Melvins - "Green Manalishi" Judas Priest - "Diamonds and Rust" , their "Green Manalishi" is good, too (original Fleetwood Mac version also awesome)

Always loved that remake above......but still got to love the Animals version better just love the simplicity of it...... Some songs should just neverrr be touched.....I think Stairway to Heaven is one of those.....there has been some creative remakes, but still......why attempt, the original is so beautiful and perfect
