Your definition of flower versus pre-flower

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Fanman, Jul 24, 2020.

  1. Gearing up to note flower dates in my journal.

I don't consider a plant in flower until you can actually see a flower. Each growing tip has grown stamens sticking out.
Preflower is just basically pistols throughout with stamens but have not formed into flowers.

    What defines flower to you?

    Thanks

  3. I would like to define that point a little closer than waiting for it to stop growing. I would like to know the begin flower date to better estimate approximate harvest date.

  4. you can’t do it anyway. There ready when there ready not a set amount of flower days. Flowering time given can be used as a rough guide only. If your new, Grow them, wait 10/11 weeks from day you switch to 12-12 then should be about time to start checking trichs.

  6. I agree with you. When the stretch stops and the cola on the upper most branches starts to form, I start counting.
