I'm sorry if I did something wrong I didn't mean to step on any toes. I'm a little company but will look into doing some paid advertising.
maybe instead of advertising you could post a link and ask if people have seen anything like it and check it out?
1. I don't know what magnets you guys are using, or what planet they came from, but there is simply not enough magnetic material in a lighter to keep it attached to your bands. Maybe the lighters will stay put for a photo-shoot, but passing around the bong or even setting it down on a table will make the lighters fall off. 2. Your products are way too over-priced. 3. Advertising is not allowed on this forum.
Each magnet found in the budz is capable of holding up to 3 pounds and the lighters themselves have enough metal at the top on the shiny silver part to hold against the magnets firmly. Its strong enough you can spin the lighter around on it so trust me when I say it won't fall off when passing or setting it on a table. I'll post a video demonstrating it later for you.
Your information is slightly inaccurate (no offence) red eye glass has a series of bongs that come with a built in magnet to hold lighters by the metal part...saw em at my LHS yesterday.
I'm not saying the magnets can't hold a lighter, I'm just saying that I seriously doubt a strong enough (aka large enough) magnet could be fit inside of one of those bands to hold a lighter as securely as what's needed. Actually I have 2 neodymium 100 gram magnets in two places in my house, both mounted to a wall for holding keys (not my car keys... I don't trust the magnets not to mess up the electronics).
A Bic is less than 1/2 oz... I don't think a 30 lb magnet would have much trouble even with a slight bit of metal.
1. The OP claimed the magnets were capable of lifting 3 pounds, not 30. 2. It doesn't matter how much the bic ways. It matters how much MAGNETIC material is in the lighter, of which there is very little. 3. I highly doubt that any neodymium magnet (the strongest rare-earth magnet) able to fit in one of those bands would be able to lift 3 lbs, even when that weight is a highly-magnetic material (which, again, a lighter is not).
