  5. Thanks for all the input ima get to working out today and maybe building a grow box lol especially since my bag is all dry.

  6. Get a bike! Ride to and from work everyday. I recently got a bike just to get to work started as 30 minutes ride everyday. I told my mates how fun riding is now we all ride to work and on weekends go for massive bike rides. 5 hours + of bike riding into the city and what not. I have never been fitter in my entire life. It will change your life, I swear there is something magical about a bike. I just feel happy on it, you notice a lot more of the world around you. I promise it will work wonders!

  8. I hit the punchin bag and stretched yesterday i already feel better :]

  9. All great suggestions so far. The only thing I would like to add is that most of these ideas seem to focus on you and maybe what you need is more of an external source of value in your life. The only way to get that is to connect with others in a meaningful way. Maybe consider volunteering at a local food distribution center or something. Of course, it all comes back to you doing it to make yourself feel better, but that doesn't make it any less worthwhile and it doesn't lessen the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment that you get knowing that someone in your city isn't hungry right now because of you.

If you want to feel like you're living a good life......do it. :smoke:

im 20 and six months ago i was feeling the same way. i pretty much partied nonstop from 16-19, started to get really bored, ended up spending most of my time after work smoking and watching threw the wormhole thinking about what i wanted to do with my life, eventually decided this science shit is really interesting, got into college and basically threw myself into the work, six months later ive got a 4.0 with no signs of slowing down, planning on having my AS within a year and a half and getting out of this town and into some major university. i would recommend doing that best thing ive ever done:D

your dads shop though thats tough i would say you gotta do what you want to do but ive got a shit relationship with my dad so idk =/

  12. Over-thinking is the destruction in ourselves. You my child, are lost within life and reality. As you continue to express yourself in this way you also continue to lie to yourself in the real world. Why? because the way you act is the reason who you are. You are nothing but emotions. If you can change your energy into positive. Men, Women, and I will come to you to give you what you need. But first, the start begins with you and the mindset you live son.

  13. Aah through the worm hole Is the shit i find physics and philosophy very interesting

I would first like to say that i have been in similiar situations and can relate to your problems. Life is so very confusing, and finding some direction and meaning to life can be very difficult.
My first piece of advice is to find some sort of direction in your life. You need to have a clear idea of what you want out of life. You need to know what you want and go fucking get it. Nothing is gonna come to you, fairytales are just that, the real world requires dedication and hard work. If you cant find a place to start, look at yourself(i say this because u mentioned letting yourself go) look at your physical condition and make it your heart and soul's main desire to get back into shape. Find something to dedicate yourself to. You have to start somewhere..
I have found through experience that humans are most happy when having accomplished some task or challenge. Give your life some meaning, create a bigger purpose, invision your grandios accomplishment and go after it. As an athiest i had trouble when i was younger trying to find a meaning to my life and motivation to go on and struggle forward. If you arent a religous person(nothing wrong with being one, and drawing inspiration from that) but if you aren't religous you have to create your own purpose. And i believe it to be much harder and more noble(just asking for drama, i know) to live a righteous life without the guidance, or perhaps fear is a better term, of a diety and their judgement of character.
If you have second thoughts about leaving your home town and your fathers business, i suggest some deep thinking(preferably under the influence of copius amounts of cannabis :smoking:) You need to make that decision for yourself. Personally i would say to follow your dreams and if that means leaving your town and father, so be it. But this is really something you have to sit down and try to clearly go over and make a decision. A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step, and if you never take that one step forward you may never start the journey. You are your biggest obstacle, your mind is composed of thought, thoughts that have no bearing on your physical reality.(By this i mean your false assumptions; i.e. i cant go run a few miles, i cant go hit the gym right now, i cant go back to school , yet you really can do all these things if you really wanted to.) Set aside pre-dispositions, biases, all opinions..Just go run, go hike, climb a mountain, set some goal, however small and insignificant and accomplish it. Then try a bigger goal, dont let negative thoughts ever deter you from trying something. Success will come with time, but first you must put in that time.
And lastly i assume you smoke weed. (being a weed forum) so dont let weed be an inhibitor. Dont become complacent, content with what you have. Always stay hungry for progress, for success, never stop striving for greatness. If weed is getting in the way, as hard as it can be to accept, it is probably best to stop. At least for the time being.(I smoke[vape concentrates] all day, everyday. And i wont allow it to get in the way of success(atleast in my terms) and happiness. In fact its the exact oppisite, it motivates me, pushes me, allows me to think and see clearly. But if you cant use it for positive reasons, i suggest you cut back heavily, if not quit completely.
Certain types of people just cant handle and balance cannabis and life's responsibilitys. Theres no shame in that, the only guilt should be in not being able to see it and admit it,

  15. lol we youngins need patience and acceptance. i started feeling that old familiar feeling creeping up on me again just before i came on here. it's alright though, life moves accordingly. life may always feel like a trap unless we can learn to set ourselves free.

  16. I'm the same age O.p and let myself fall in to a similar rut that I'm now out of.

Stop smoking weed everyday is the solution unfortunately or at least it was for me, as soon as I started just smoking weekends I levitated out of the rut.
Also be productive it makes you feel a lot less shit about yourself.

Think about the things that are making you feel bad, don't let your ego give any fake reasons to justify the things making you feel bad because it most likely will, when you have seen what is making you feel bad or the lack of something that is making you feel bad, then you need to plan your solutions.

For me I just got a white board and wrote down everything I needed to do to make myself happier, personally it was to start gaining muscle, expand my knowledge and get better at guitar. So mon, tues, thurs, fri I will work out, and will dedicate at least an hour to practicing guitar each day and reading about something I have interest in. Each time I do a task for the day I'll put a tick next to it.

So in the week I'm like a productive machine trying to better myself in any way I can, and then on the weekends I'm a full on stoner who gets way higher than he did before. Good luck O.P you'll be back to bathing in the awesomeness that is life very soon.

  17. I think this is a very common feeling that happens in your early 20s. I know I felt like this. Fast forward 5 yrs and I am no longer in a rut.

You know what you need to do for you OP. And yes moving helps ALOT.

  18. It seems like you are a person that needs to feel like their life is meaningful and simply working then going home in the same routine isn't enough for you.

It also seems like you know moving will make you happier and give you more opportunities but your are worried about upsetting your dad if you were to do so. Have you tried talking to him about this and the way you feel? He might support and encourage you.

Also, when you get home, instead of just going home to "sit on the couch every day after work" workout, set a goal like reaching 20 push ups by Thursday for example. Or maybe volunteer somewhere, start a hobby etc. the main thing is to make you feel as if your life is meaningful and that you aspirations that you want to achieve.

Also consider seeing a counselor if you feel very upset or like you want to talk to somebody.

You may also like to consider buying some 5-Htp which can be bought at health stores which are said to improve your mood by increasing seretonin levels.

Hope everything goes well for you.

  19. try some psychedelic drugs... not for short-term entertainment, but to find purpose in life. you might also need to gather some more physical experiences for that to be ultimately successful, but Im 18 and havent been to many places or done a lot of stuff and I find stuff like weed, mdma and LSD useful. I only got much experience with weed though, tried mdma and lsd once each... as well as useless non-psychedelic stuff like alcohol, tobacco or DXM, a low dose of hawaiian baby woodrose (LSA) and some disappointingly uneffective stuff like lions tail and sinicuichi. oh, but woodworth is quite interesting in combination with weed ^^

  20. The most simple advice that can be given: Do what makes YOU happy.
