The status quo liberals and conservatives won't quit trying to make him look bad. I see it on here. I see it on Tv. I see it in articles. I see it from liberal and coservative FB users. Everywhere i look people are going after RP. haterzgonhate
He very well can will the peoples vote, but does our vote actually count? Remember the Bush/Gore scandal? Also, many believe there are those who really run this country/western world behind the scenes, and it is they who actually decide who gets to be our puppet president. Not familiar with who or what I'm talking about? Google Bilderberg Group, Bohemian Grove, and of course the Rothchild family. If the later has any truth to it than RP will never be allowed to be in office as long as they have control.
I think Ron Paul is sincere in saying "he has a real shot", he isn't corporately backed, adored by the media, or a fresh looking 40 something year old, but America wants change there's just no telling how badly they want it. Paul still has a few months left and now is the time to start donating and taking to the streets with some good old signs.
He wasn't in the top 3 or 4 last time though. The next few debates will be key for who will end up as the top 2 candidates, for now. We have two faux republicans with large corporate backers (Romney, Perry) and Bachmann who seems to be losing a lot of steam. And in the mix is Ron Paul. It's going to be fun to watch.
I think he might win this time because we're at a point in American history where even people who don't agree with everything Ron Paul says they're recognizing that this election is special. We are approaching the point of no return. Like me for example, I'm a typical religious Republican with economic libertarian leanings (I voted Republican even though they're anti-weed because democrats are too and there are more issues than the ganja ). Republicans have betrayed me on virtually every issue I vote for them on. So even though I'm not crazy about Ron Paul, the Republicans (and obviously Democrats) have backed me into a corner where I am forced to vote for him. And actually the more I learn about him the more I support him. I think so many voters are looking for this perfect candidate and it's just not going to happen, but before examining the issues each candidate claims to support it's all a waste of time if you don't recognize that they're fucking liars in the first place. So after eliminating the liars all I am left with on the Republican side is Ron Paul so, wtf lol If the Ron Paul movement can figure out a way to clearly and concisely explain to other religious Republicans why they need to support Ron Paul it would really help out. I'm not even going to touch on illegal immigration, border security, which is one of the major issues that concern me which Democrats and Republicans alike seem to be no different on. Increasing the size, scope, and power of the federal government and diminishing the rights of the states is the single most important reason any fundamentalist Christian Republican needs to vote for Ron Paul. It's a compromise that I personally am willing to accept. Voting for him will decrease some religious freedoms of Christians in some of the more liberal states (like my own, but fuck it, I plan on moving to Texas) but it will preserve and/or strengthen them in the more conservative ones. But a Rick Perry (who is all talk; despises state's rights in truth) or Mitt Romney and obviously a Barrack Obama won't change anything about the diminishing of state's rights. If nothing is done I believe 50+ years from now probably when I'm already dead anyways very little laws will be decided on the state or even federal level, but rather international and that needs to change. I know many people see this as a conspiracy theory but they likely haven't thought about it very often or aren't religous, if this can clearly and concisely be explained to Christians they will be receptive of it. Most of them already are resistant to the NWO I just think many of them don't realize how much faster world leaders are working to fulfill it. Because the more people resist the NWO the faster they work to complete it. It can easily be stopped if we pull all of the troops home also these so-called fucking Christian Republicans need to be explained that their blind support for militarism around the world is unwittingly supporting one of our major tools for implementing the NWO. I know there has to be some Ron Paul activists at most major Christian churches around the United States (I don't attend church), these people need to organize maybe through dailypaul or facebook or something, plan speeches and make tours around the United States speaking to Christians. We can do this guys people just need to be pushed out of the comfort zones they need to wake the fuck up.
i don't think he will win this time around.. (this does not mean that i'm not doing my part in trying to get him elected) i do think he'll be within the top 3 and maybe even win a state primary or 2.. but the people are scared of real change, and there are way too many voters who rely on government entitlements... they don't give a shit about wars, or sound currency, or liberty.. just themselves... and they say rich people are greedy and selfish.
You make a valid point August, but the state of the economy has a lot of wiggle room (down the toilet) between now and nov 2012, the worse the economy gets and govt programs struggle (usps, unemployment, ss, etc) along with the rise in inflation, the more he resonates with the voters. Ron said it himself just yesterday, the summer of 2012 will be the summer of the tax, the inflation tax. As the economy weakens, Paul's campaign strengthens.
What I don't understand is why liberals insist on judging Ron Paul as if it's already late 2012 and he's running as a progressive democrat up against some kind of Bill Clinton/FDR/Thomas Jefferson hybrid in the general election. It's absolutely ridiculous. He wants to drastically cut domestic spending and defund planned parenthood? No shit people, so does everyone else with an (R) next to their name. He's a devout Christian who doesn't believe in evolution? Well yeah, what part of conservative congressman from Texas did you not understand? Liberals need to take the blinders off and start comparing Ron Paul to the liars and crooks that he's running against in the Republican primaries. At the very least, a RP victory in the primaries will force Obama to address issues like the War on Drugs and cutting military spending. People need to stop pretending that after winning the presidency, Ron Paul will snap his fingers and all welfare programs will disappear into thin air. Does anyone remember how hard Obama had to work to get his health care reform bill passed? It took a year of his full attention to pass a bill that was a critical part of his campaign platform. It doesn't matter how you feel about the bill, the point is that the president is not some kind of dictator as Ron Paul bashers seem to believe. He can't make cuts to social programs at will. Seems to me that the best case scenario for progressives would be a Ron Paul in the white house with democrats controlling congress and the senate. What Ron Paul proposes to do with his executive power is why any liberals support him in the first place. Everything else needs to pass through the legislature.
The best evidence that he can win imo is that the powers that be are moving onto a different phase in their fight against Ron Paul. In the past they would marginalize him and his ideas in the media and among the mainstream politicians. This method is the preferred one because it's the easiest. The problem is that once ideas spread enough to start gaining real ground with the masses, the marginalizing can backfire and they will lose support of voters. Thus you go into phase 2, incorporation. This is the phase when you take the ideas of the opposition and use it as your own in order to win over the ignorant masses that won't see through the obvious theft of ideas with no sincerity behind them. This is why you have people like Rick Perry now saying things like "Fed Up!" and that the Fed is a treasonous corporation. They are still using the marginalizing strategy also, as well as manipulating the media in other ways to exclude, mock, ridicule, or outright slander Ron Paul. They are using all the tools at their disposal right now. They wouldn't be doing it if they didn't think Ron Paul wasn't a real threat. The powerful elite are scared of Ron Paul because his ideas are spreading and his support is growing. When those people get scared, you know he has a real chance at winning.
Ron Paul can never win because this is a covert totalitarian country. The ruling class control the election machine and have their own candidate to be selected. If you still believe your vote is counted, you are ignorant.
Are you guys ready for the very few Ron Paul loaded questions tonight?... Perry is probably paying out huge bucks to the debate organizers to get easy questions that he already knows pre-remembered lines to. I think he'll imagine Paul isnt even in the room tonight because he knows he'll get the smackdown of the good doc if he steps onto the 13th Floor of Liberty!
I was thinking about this the other day, what happens if Ron Paul dominates the General Vote, but loses the Electoral votes? What will happen, what will we do?
I doubt he will win. The main stream media will not even acknowledge him most of the time, even if he wins 1st or 2nd in a straw poll.
woah...even at a state by state level, the representative voters don't technically HAVE TO vote how the voters did...what if they just didn't vote for Ron Paul, even if he won in the state...damn, that would be crazy
No he won't lol. It's going to be Obame or some other big name backed by the republicans. There will never be a president that isn't chosen by the democrats or republicans. Even if he gets the popular vote the dirty ass electorates won't choose him. Clearly if you can't tell yet the american peoples vote doesn't even matter and is merely a way of tricking us into thinking we have a say, it's all the electoral college.
